I don't think it is fair to wait for a saviour to do all the job for us. It is up to us and together we have achieved a lot already!!

I think what people will feel aggrieved about is if MSE/Martin stand up at the end and say "Look what WE did for the consumers of Britain!" ... Erm; YOU did very little MSE/Martin.

But it is very important - to provide a place where the like-minded can convene!

I don't think it is fair to wait for a saviour to do all the job for us . It isup to us and together we have achieved a lot already!!

I didn't look nor wait for a saviour to do all the job!

Just a little support/acknowledgement and exposure!

Given this thread has pushed this forum so high in the google rankings by its POSTERS

For MSE/Martin to then go on and take credit for this would be totally outrageous!

Especially when he has done NONE of the job!

My own resolution was achieved on 3rd October by my own efforts
  • The exec team are getting a bit stressed it would seem, wobbly voices mumbling, excuses etc. Keith, who is on a "training" day today (LOL) is apparently the holder of the spread sheet as part of the Highlander team dealing with "escalating complaints" He will be in the office tomorrow so lets all phone Keith tomorrow and see how useful his "traing" day was in sorting out our problems. He has apparently taken the spreadsheet with him!
Lets all remember how effective that ditty from Joe Pasquale was..
" I know a song that will get on yer nerves, get on yer nerves..."
Suggest we all swamp him on the same day and see if it gets a result.

TalkTalk will allow customers to exit their contract early penalty-free if they cancel within 30 days of notification.

They are rising prices, so if your in contract the above applies

    Hi All,

Just wondering if it`s worth ringing the `special` team now as it seems they are the ones who have been able to confirm the continuation of `free` bb to those who have had it confirmed today.

Obviously they are not the ones to chase for compensation ( unless that has changed too ) but the priority has to be that your bb will continue till the end of mobile contract period. I think it`s safe to say free bb for life is a no go.

Once you have the confirmation of bb continuation then it`s time to speak to exec office about any compensation.

    Don`t give up !

I think it's time to push Orange to make a statement! to be honest!

It is looking very likely that free BB will only continue until contract end but only for customers who complain!

And complain under the mis-sold aspect.

Anyone complaining just about withdrawal of free BB will be quoted 'our T&C's allow us'

I personally think you should cut the exec office some slack, they have been the only ones to help us remember, as for Keith's training day he did mention when I spoke to him that he would be away to attempt to show the powers that be just what a farce the special team were doing with communication.

I have been told I will receive confirmation in writing shortly regarding the continuation of my free broadband until my contract expires and I actually for once believe some one from orange.

In fact on the whole I have found the exec office to be helpful and genuine. The special team on the other hand to be deceitful and just a bunch of commission grabbing snakes.

I would agree with that comment - and yes - Keith I know is not impressed with the way this has gone and has always been reliable and courteous.

Important to remember also, Exec Office did not create this mess, they have merely been the unfortunate crew designated to clear it up!

There are 2 divisions within Orange - BB & Mobile - I suspect there is a directive been set, prior to resolution the BB division must be given an opportunity to obtain land lines - hence the 'special team'

ONLY after speaking with this team, if resolution is NOT met, can the executive office intervene.

These are my personal thoughts having watched this play out.

Remember s**t rolls downhill! Ahem! excuse me:o

That does not mean you should not be persistent with your calls - if the promised call is not forthcoming within the time frame given - call, call & call again!

Just had 2 more emails from orange. First one from telling me there is still time to keep my free broadband if i take out line rental .

"If you don't get in touch, unfortunately your broadband will stop working on 18/02/2013." The date keeps changing.

Second one from the executive office to confirm my details have been passed to specialist team for call back
  • Many thanks to all the people who have shared their experience and actions on this forum, obtaining the resolution I did would have been an even harder battle without your guidance and support.

To date I have made 47 calls to Orange since I received my 1st letter in August and have spent 7hrs 32 minutes talking to just to Orange seeking what is rightfully mine.

If anyone has been mis sold a mobile phone contract with free broadband tie ins then follow Eva's step by step guide and your issue will be resolved within hours. One of my neighbours has followed it step by step and received resolution within 15 minutes of obtaining an ofcom reference.

My faith in society has gained a huge boost knowing that not everyone will be bullied by corporate giants
