Orange 'Free' Broadband
Comments
-
Just phoned Orange on behalf of my son and they are still trotting out the same story that they want the land line to keep the broadband free. When asked about a disconnection date it was different to the two letters sent so who knows what it is.
They were not interested in discussing anything but the land line and how they were the best deal. I asked specifically if they would supply the contracted service sold with my mobile phone and it was a categoric no. Seems they want to put customers through hoops and hope they do not bother.
So it seems they only cave in if you fight, in which case it will be compensation also. What a great bunch of business decision makers they have.
So OFCOM it is as the next call.0 -

Yes, get on the phone or email ofcom and get a reference number, then follow the process a page or two back about phoning the exec team and complaining to orange.:)0 -
It would be so much easier if Orange just let the free BB run for the remainder of mobile contracts, with notice it will no longer be available at renewal.0

So can someone explain how the change to EE will fit.
Will orange mobile/broadband cease to be orange completleyl?.
So any bad publicity / feeback we are giving is left with an old company?. And is this why orange are not bothered about losing loyal customer's.
Do we also think that ofcom and the likes are not going to punish orange because they are leading the 4g roll out?0 -
Just another thought.
To try to influence the powers that be in orange, would it be
an idea for the orange staff to make their feelings known and protest at their company's descision?
Im sure most staff are sick of having to deal with disgruntled customer's and its obvious they are all telling customer's different things because they may be in the dark over correct info to give.
If they had a union then they should all get together and threaten to strike unless this situation is changed.
Those "c****" higher up would soon realise there mistake.
It would be interesting to hear from any orange staff "anonymously" on here about how the staff feel.
Sorry if this had been posted previously.0 -
oaky72 I am sure the name Orange will be forever linked with EE and everythingeverywhere for a long time to come.
This thread has attracted nearly 97,000 hits, whilst not everyone will want to join or post - it is indicative of the numbers watching this forum.
As for the Orange staff, I am positive they are as sick of this whole fiasco as the customers; in fact, the chap I was dealing with in Exec Office expressed his own concern at the way this has been handled, but, I do not think they have the autonomy required to influence the decision that has been taken.
Unbelievable really, and even more so when you consider the Executive Office is the highest level to which we can take our complaints.
It does/did appear, back last week, that Orange had taken a different stance - and were now reinstating free BB for the remainder of peoples mobile contracts - but - instead of doing the right thing and rolling it out across the board - it would appear that people are being made to jump through hoops.
In other words, only those who complain will get continuation of free BB for the remainder of their contract.
All the above having been said, one of our forum members - having issued Court proceedings - Orange have acknowledged service! Which would indicate at this moment, they intend to defend!
Unless of course there is an 11th hour back-down/out of Court settlement.
I cannot believe the inconsistency in handling individual cases within such a huge corporation!
Utterly crazy!0 -

Yes.
Yes.
Cost to provide when call termination charges have been dropping since & will continue to do so till for the next couple of years perhaps.
No, just because the are a spineless regulator, who generally makes changes to licencee behaviour when the EU tell them it will will become EU Directive if Member States do not follow recommendations.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... Protesting can be seen as disrepute against any employer which ultlimately would be gross misconduct by most companies, that is why we should all join a union. Unions generally strike for members not consumers. Many staff will have spoke up, for it to fall on deaf ears.
Those at the highest end of the chain usually are C***S, just look at even the incompetent ex fat cat bankers getting "leaving benefits & pensions/lump sums" whilst non executive staff get pay freezes but more pressure to sell sell SELL ! These executive C***S brought our national debt to even more horrific levels, whilst its same same except we own a large % of these banks with NO voting rights !
Posting online under disguise is still "disrepute" and gross mis-conduct, but even "whistleblowers" on legal things still get the boot & end up going through Employment tribunals.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies...
