Just had a text message from orange saying 'Hello, were making changes to your orange home broadband plan. Please call us urgently on 0800 2944747.

Anyone else had this, and what is this number. What is it they want to tell me that I dont already know, (that they are cancelling my broadband etc on the 17 november)Forewarned is better than forearmed I think:)

Don't fall for their Faginesque wiles and deceit Paul.

Orange are in the business of communication. Yet, they send you a text, but cannot say what they want to talk to you about - odd isn't it ? Are you not just a tad suspicious of their motives ? If Orange like the small print so much, and they certainly do ! ...... just tell them to spell it out to you in writing.

It was in one of these 'phone us back' conversations that Orange offered me a 'free for life' broadband service. As they did for many thousands of others. What happened to that ?

My guess is that their clever marketing boys (they're the ones with the sharp suits, oh so cool spiky hair and BMW's) have been to the wine bar, and dreamt up a new smoke and mirrors strategy to fleece their loyal customers ..... "Keep it all verbal though boys, and then hit the suckers in the T&C's ! "

If Orange were fishmongers they would be covering their stinking rotten fish in lemon juice, to fool the customer. If they were in the motor trade they would be offering you a "free" car, and then charging you £10,000 for the car's key. Is there a moral corporation left in the UK ?

As Olaf Trotter might remark "Every one's a winner Rodney .. Luvely Jubelee !"

    .........

Your are exactly the type of customer Orange thinks they are dealing with...

They take something away that is contractual and just because they pitch it cheaper than anybody else then this is Ok i suppose.

We are all fully aware of the options that are out there and how they compare to what Orange are offering. This is not the issue i'm afraid.

And if you move your broadband to Orange with line rental how would you feel if half way through they vary your terms and remove the broadband aspect and keep your line rental for you line only...after all the broadband is the free part.

    Slightly condescending........

I thought one of the issues with this is that nobody actually knows whether this is contractual or not...

And I'm sorry if I'm commenting on things that people are 'fully aware of', I thought the whole reason for forums was to be able to give your opinion and maybe help someone in the process.

Also if Orange do pitch the same products as other providers cheaper then yes this is ok with me..........that's the whole point of this website MONEY SAVING!!!!

Get some anti-anxiety drugs from your GP before you blow a blood vessel montage. So you have a grievance against Orange, get over it.

Instead of criticising others with your ad hominem exchanges, just put your own point of view, and let others judge the quality of your perspective.

I have already judged, and I rather suspect that you are an Orange 'plant'. Right ?

    I have been quoted:

BT line rental + Unlimited BB + free evening & weekend calls = £27.85

Orange line rental with free evening and weekend calls + unlimited BB = £18.50

So what were you paying at the moment ?

For now a lot of useful information has been 'lost' in the numerous recent pages generated ;)
