Family and friends whilst you have to go through this. You'll be in my prayers x
  • I'm so sorry T2D, thinking of you lots. I know we aren't real people but if there's anything at all we can do to help you or make you feel even a tiny bit better please font hesitate to ask. Hugs x

Woooooo Becca for your new house, hope your scan goes well today. I'd second the underwear advice as they're quite generous with the jelly. Its not so bad though -I think because the sonographer is looking at the screen rather than your bits it feels more dignified.

We are getting a new carpet today for our spare room/new bedroom, started redoing it in October and did it all ourselves, including taking out a huge fitted wardrobe and finding there was no floor beneath it! Very mse but its taken averred and I can't believe its going to be finished!

An internal scan would have absolutely no impact on any potential blossoming pregnancy, (especially at this stage where any embryo wood still be travelling down the tubes!). This is the same method of scanning that they use even with ivf cases/to check early pregnancy cases for ectopics/early heartbeats, etc etc.

It is, of course, down to what you feel is best for yourself, but in my experience:
    A) there will never be a "good" time to get the scan/any other tests and there will always be a "reason" not to go ahead
    B) the more you put things off, the more you kick yourself when/if something does turn out to be an issue.

If it's any help, I've had a few internal scans now and they're nowhere near as bad as you work yourself up about them being. :)

(p.s. I would consider taking a fresh pair of underwear so you can go to the loo after and get rid of the lube and put the clean pair on)

I second everything she said :) Internal scans are absolutely nothing to be worried about.

    Hi Ladies

Amy - thanks for the list; yes unfortunately defo AF so on CD2 today and OH starts getting all frisky this morning  really do I have to explain this cycle thing to him all over again!?!Blimming men folk, I swear they are on a different planet sometimes, or that might just be mine

But you know what? I am not going to complain because what T2D is going through just puts it all into perspective. T2D - we are all here for you and thank you for your update, I can only imagine how difficult it was for you to write that. My heart goes out to you and I am wishing you all the very very best for your treatment and hoping this awful chapter in your life is a very short one with an emormously happy outcome. Lots of love xxxx

Becca - good luck for your scan; not nice but it is always good to know whats goin on ifkwim!

Mrs TM - Definitely go for a smear, it isn't the most fun but is not 'painful' just uncomfortable and really important unfortunately :( I didn't go for my first one until I was 26 but luckily was ok as was my last one last year but you just never know......

Happy sunday ladies, take care xx
First baby due October 2013 :j

I am ashamed to say that I was 37 when I had my first smear. I count myself very lucky that everything was OK. I had to have it in order to get any help with ttc and I am so glad I did. It was a little uncomfortable, especially as they did an internal ultrasound at the same time but I was glad that I had them both and got the all clear.

Don't put off your scans or your smears ladies. Take help where ever it is offered. Getting the all clear is a good feeling and finding and fixing potential problems as early as possible saves a lot of heartache and stress down the road.

    T2D - Thinking about you x.

sorry ladies, I've just noticed something I can't share with anyone else and hope the pcos ladies will understand...
I have less hair on my tummy! I have a line going down from my belly button, affectionately called my garden path by DH, and I Nair it when I do the garden itself. not done if for like a month and there's only a few hairs there now!
so happy, less hair is always more attractive lol if only I could sort out the pubes- escaping- down - the- thighs business...
