Hi everyone! Husband and I managed to sleep late again this morning. We also were able to bd today. :) Hoping that AF won't show up, especially as its due on Christmas eve. Found out last night that we may have a friend coming to stay with us a night or two around the 19th. The 19th December is also our first anniversary. That's what spare bedrooms are for I guess! :p

If I don't get to post again tonight, I hope everyone has a wonderful night, and consider yourselves hugged!

They won't do your bloods on CD21 if your cycles are 35/36 days. They'll do it at around CD28 or 29 I would imagine. They 'assume your LP is 14 days, so the test is supposed to be done at 7dpo.

Finding out what they tested you for last time sounds like a plan! Although, when in your cycle did they do it? Was it a blood test? I can't think how else they would have confirmed you were ovulating if it wasn't the CD21 test (that's only the 'street' for it...it's not always done on CD21)

If you've only been properly 'trying' for a few months, they almost certainly won't do anything. Worth a shot though, and mention that you've been trying since April (you don't have to mention the bit about only getting it right for the last 2 months!).

I also get the LH surge and temp rise....but apparently I'm not ovulating :o Who knows, maybe the specialist is right after all and that's why I can't get pregnant!

    Good luck!!!

Eek! This is so confusing...thanks for staying with me this long! My cycles are 32/33 days long. I had the blood tests on CD 30 I think. Hopefully they confirmed that I had ovulated!

All the nurse told me is that they were checking my hormone profile as well as other routine blood tests.

Oh don't be daft. I learned so much from this thread it's nice to be able to help :)

Right, if your cycles are 32 or 33 days, they may do the test at CD25/CD26. Although by all accounts it sounds like you have already had it done. The test only really needs to be performed during the mid/end luteal phase and it measures if all your hormones are correct for that point in your cycle. Your progesterone level should be above a certain amount (some say anywhere between 8 and 30). That is how they confirm ovulation.

For how many cycles has your LP been 7/8 days?

Woop! It's sounding hopeful then. I will get the facts and figures when I go. I've only been testing and charting for two cycles and last month LP was 8 days and this month 7 days (AF arrived one day early this month. My cycles have been at 33 days for last 3 months, apart from this month when it was 32 days.

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it xx

    I've been Money Tipped!
My scan went ok thanks, have to wait for results now, she's not sure she has a very clear image so might need to have it done again.

How are you getting on lily? Xx

If you've only been charting for a few cycles, you may find that things change over time (although everyone said that to me too when I first joined and 9 months on it's still all the same :o)

Are you *sure* you're getting you've ov date right? (everyone asked me that too) Do you have a link to your charts on here? Might have a nosey :p

A short LP can be a problem...but there are always stories of people getting pregnant with one so don't fret too much. If my specialist poo-poo's my short LP theory next time I see her, I'm going to have the old "how long does it take from ovulation to implantation" conversation and see if she can give me anymore answers.

You may get more help, more quickly. I have conceived 3 times before and had 2 full term pregnancies all within the last 3 years so, on paper, there should be nothing wrong with me. My GP wasn't interested to begin with but yours sounds a lot more helpful!

Thanks for telling me your story. I am convinced that in the first or second cycle I had a chemical as I had a positive pregnancy test. I have pm'd you a link to my chart if that's ok? Let me know what you think. Thanks x
