Hi all, On CD4 today and almost ready to come out of the 'double chocolate' club. AF has been different this month. I used to be 'on' for 7 days with a few days of light, 3 days really heavy and 2 days light. I also used to have to take ibuprofen for at least 2 days.
This time medium/heavy flow for 2 days, light for 2 days (almost non-existant today) and only a bit of pain on CD1- 2 ibuprofen taken.

I could get used to 4 days for AF to visit! All I can think is that cycles are still settling down after the pill (which I came off well over a year ago!)

Oh well, the cycle starts again. Hope I ov a little earlier this month. Still temping and doctors appointment booked for next Monday.

Hope all is well. Thinking of you T2D xx

Sorry I have been absent for ages. Last month I'd convinced myself I was pregnant due to the dreaded SS-ing (constant nausea for a week - guess it was just a bug, plus weird dreams and sense of smell gone mad) and when AF arrived I found it a bit hard to believe that I wasn't pregnant after all. Pathetic really but I found myself staying away from this thread because I was so cross that we were still TTC. Anyway I've got over myself a bit now! I think I'm currently 1DPO but am not putting it in pink because I'm not sure, will wait till FF gives me my crosshairs. Poor DH was dragged off to bed four nights in a row and is now exhausted.

T2D, I really don't know what to say. Thank you for sharing your story. I wish you lots of love and luck and health and hugs and good wishes to help you and your family through this. I have been putting off having a smear for ages (it's been at least four years now) but am going to make an appointment and sort it out asap.

Amy - thank you for updating the lists and doing such a fab job x Can I please make a prediction of 8 for this month. I tried to explain the ov light system to DH and he looked at me as if I'd suddenly grown antlers and a red nose... oh and I also used the expression "I think I will lay my egg today or tomorrow" and he pretty much ran away screaming!

Congrats to Lao and hope you have a very happy and healthy pregnancy! Love the photo of your BFP. I hope Santa brings lots more BFPs in December.

Becca - congrats on the new house! Hope you have many happy years there.

TeamLowe - Big cheer for your disappearing belly tash! :rotfl:

Codemonkey and Becca - hugs for uncooperative hubbies :(

Big hugs to everyone whether you need them or not, as I have missed you all while I have been away having a strop :o

Oh sorry and I also meant to say, QQ if you are reading I am still thinking of you and sending you love and hoping you're ok xxx
  • Yay for lack of tummy hair Teamlowe :j

Sorry that the witch got you Angeltreats. Fingers crossed for this month.

Vic - Yay for lighter AF and good luck for the docs on Monday. Is it TTC related?

Afm, please can I go on the testing list? FF app tells me AF is due 17/12/12, so please can you put me down for that date Amy. Not much hope really as we BD'd too late according to FF, but some of the thrill is in the chase right?!

Appointment is a week on Monday. I'm probably wasting their time but i'm hoping they will shed some light on my very short (7 day) luteal phase.

Fingers crossed for your testing! xx

Ah ok, well fingers crossed for a positive outcome. Is it soy that ladies take to lengthen luteal phase? It must be frustrating for you. do you have short or long cycles? x

Is it with a standard GP? If so, you will have no luck what so ever. Most have never even heard of a 'luteal phase' and a short LP is not considered a problem by a large proportion of fertility specialists. Quite a lot of medical folk have a problem understanding that not every who has a 28 day cycle ovulates on day 14...

Sorry, I realize that is really raining on your parade, but just wanted to tell you my experiences. Hopefully I am spouting rubbish and your appointment will be very helpful. :o

Up until about 4 months ago they were tending to be 55 day ish cycles. More recently, they are down to 33 days. Last one was 32 days. I'm not ovulating until CD25/26 (last two months as only started BBT charting and OPK testing recently).

Thank you- it's not raining on my parade. I feel lucky that I am ovulating at all! I don't hold out any hope at all when I visit the docs! Just hoping that they may carry out more tests. I only had routine ones done last time which came back that 'everything looked normal for someone of my age' (I'm 31 btw)
