    Ninth Anniversary Combo Breaker

I'm toying with the idea of buying a Clearblue fertility monitor next month, as opk sticks don't work for me and I'm not quite regular (29-32 day cycles). They're so expensive though, are they worth it?

I've got one and find it invaluable. It's brilliant especially if you don't have a high sex drive as it gives you a 'high' when gearing up for ov, and a 'peak' when you are ov. So you know when to dtd.
You can get quite good deals on ebay now and again, and of course can sell them on for a good price when you get that bfp.

Think mine was about £50 with 50 sticks, which was enough to do about 7 months. Yes it is expensive but it takes the guessing out of it, no having to stare at a stick.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.
  • Morning All,

Amy - Could you take me back off the testing list please and change me to cd1. The big ugly crone of a witch got me:(. Hope there is some chocolate left in the wine and chocolate zone :p

Oh well. Guess I can give soy a try and see if I can get a stronger ovulation this month.

I have been reading over the weekend but my laptop has died and it's too difficult to reply on my phone! :o

T2D, I'm so sorry for what's happening to you, thank you for sharing with us though, must have been awful to put it all in writing. :( I'll be thinking of you.

Hope you've been enjoying your new house Becca and there's been lots of BD to christen every room! ;)

    Congratulations Lao_cat! :j Hope you have a happy 9 months. :)

Woohoo for less hair TL! Hope AF is ligher by now.

Elsie, when I mentioned my slightly short LP to my GP she just did the smile-and-nod as she clearly had no idea what I was talking about! :p

Fingers crossed this is it for you RazWaz, sounds good! :)

Haven't been watching X Factor but James seemed to be on TV a lot over the last few weeks and my goodness he's an odd looking creature, if he's the best they can come up with then I'm glad I missed it all this year! :p I'm a Strictly girl, been *loving* it this year! :)

Hope you're OK courgette, that message was suitably cryptic so I'll just say I hope you're OK and you know where we are. :)

    Hugs for CD1 Firefly :(

All this talk of PCOS and hormone surges but no OV has made me a bit worried and I've just checked the symptom list on the NHS site: I've always been a little too furry, my periods are pretty light, cycles are long, I lose so much hair it's unreal (luckily I've got loads of it!) and I've gained about 3 stone in the last 3 years for no real reason!

I agreed with my GP when I went to see them after OH's super SA that I'd see them in the new year if I still wasn't PG so I'm going to beg and plead for more investigation because it's clear that there's something wrong with me if 325 million sperm can't find and fertilise an egg in there! :o

Thanks girlies, nice to come on here and moan as there's always an understanding hug waiting! :o

I'm rubbish at waiting so I've made an appointment for tomorrow morning! :p Once I've made up my mind to do something I just want to do it! I've been warned that my appointment will be filmed so hopefully that'll be in my favour as the doctor will feel under pressure to be super extra helpful and nice, I might even turn on the tears for show (although it doesn't really need turning on as I always get tearful now when talking about TTC) :)

  • Good luck at your appointment Birdie. I know some of the ladies had really unsympathetic docs but mine was really great.

I also have the kind of PCO where I get light af and I shed more hair than my labrador:p, my ovulation days are completely random and I gain weight very easily and find it almost impossible to shift (although metformin has been helping with that).

Hope your doc is a good one;) Not sure how I would feel about it being filmed tho:eek:

Afternoon ladies. Last night I decided that DH and I needed to have a talk. I was a bit worried that his reluctance to co-operate meant he's changed his mind again. Anyway he hasn't and he's promised to try harder.

Sometimes I think men are just well, men. There's really no other explanation sometimes!

Anyway, Amy, please put me on 0DPO. I'm either at 0DPO or 1DP0, but I'm going to err on the side of the 0. :) Thanks!
