I was also on a 12 month free deal with a nokia 2600, called today to find out when my 12 months expire and its on the 14th so therefore was put through to customer loyalty I was offered :

    by the same rep:

400 Mins and 600 txts 11 months free or 250 mins 100 txt for 11 months free
    with nohandset

    I was also offered: Nokia 6230 200 and 250 txt for £8 a month (=9 months free)

For the Nokia N95 was offered it free on an 18 month contract with 600 mins and 100 txt (£35)

I said I would think about it had a look on the net and found a deal from onestop with the lg chocolate on a 12 month free deal on o2 or orange.

So I called back mentioned this plus a few offers but the best this other rep would give me is :

300 Mins and 250 Txt - 11 months free (no handset)

Or Nokia 6300 12 months half price.

I declined and got a disconnection ref and have the letter ready to send off tomorrow. I've quoted some of the offers I found on the net in my letter so if I get a phone call with a decent deal i'll take it otherwise i'll get the PAC code and get the lg chocolate on orange - although would prefer a direct deal.

    Will keep you guys posted.

    edit 2:

Called again and spoke to another rep and told him - onestop are doing this deal on o2 and orange can't you just match saving me getting a pac and going to orange etc he said they stopped doing 12 month free deals with handsets but could do a me an 11 month free deal with refurbished Motorola L6 or U6.

Letter will go off tomorrow so we'll see what happens

I was told by one of the reps from O2 loyalty that they would match any deals on the e2save or onestopphoneshop sites...

ive been "haggling" with CPW lately and that is what I have been offered too. This has gotta be pretty good seeing its from CPW, no cashback worries, and basically 12 months for £30 with a sellable phone. Anyone think anything better can be gained from CPW at this time?

I've spoken to them this morning. Had a letter asking me to ring to discuss the account because contract is due to expire soon, so I did. The person on the other end of this number was useless - £20 a month minimum and I had to have a phone I didn't want!
So, I rang to cancel and got through to O2 customer loyalty straight away. Far more sense from them! I bagan I would probably have to cancel because I'd seen that e2save had 12 months free line rental on sim only and that I'd been told I couldn't get this by the other chap.
Customer loyalty said I could (with a free Nokia cheapie which I could ebay of course), or, I can have a £300 direct credit to my mobile account and be put on a £25 a month off peak tariff, which I could then immediately shift to the £30 a month tariff, so it would cost me £60 for the year with no chequebacks to remember.
Any advice on which is the best way to go, or should I ring them back and try and squeeze them for a bit more?

nell2 they will definitely give you the 12 months free line rental sim card only deal.

I spoke to the again today as I got a text with my PAC code (but no phone call) got offered a 11 month free contract with an l6 u6 or k750i on a £30 tariff - actually got a worse deal on the £35 tariff which i'm currently on.

or on an 18 month contract : 600 mins and 1500 text, free for 14 months but no phone (via redemption).

Onestopphoneshop have increased the range of phones but aren't doing it on orange anymore as they sold out.

Just spoke to Virgin mobile seems I can port my number to a pay as a you sim and port it straight out but the going to try to ring cpw loyalty one more time tomorrow to see what I can squeeze

edit : just fired of an email via the help and support section lets see what I get.
  • Thanks to this thread phoned up today and got

    Samsung U600 (phone son wanted)

    300 mins
750 texts for 6 months then 250 texts
    £250 cashback

Did have to pay £30 for the phone but still the best deal that id found for this phone.

    One happy bunny:j

And one over the moon son when he sees the texts he has. That will save me about £20 a month alone.:rotfl:
