They aren't rumours, they are fact. all new cont4racts on O2 through E2Save from September 2007 are with O2 direct. However, upgrades on old existing cpw O2 contracts are still with cpw.0

well i rang earlier and have taken 600 mins 1000 texts for £5 per month ,no cashback to claim either.had to be 24 months but thats fine for me as was paying £20 for 400 mins and 500 texts. obviously no phone but i dont really like any of them anyway!!!! i just go for looks and all i use it for is calls and texts(no internet and not bothered about camera or music player)
i am very pleased:j
Hi, i have tried to get this deal twice, but i was told that this deal is only available via cashback. The £5 charge deal with no cashback apparently is 275mins and 250 texts on a 24mth contract.
I said a colleague of mine has got the deal, then said if i can provide the phone number (but cannot discuss the account with me) he will match the deal.
if you are 100% sure of the deal you have and don't mind sharing your number with me can i use your number?:cool:0 -
Have to say, great thread guys :T
Got my best deal yet last weekend, after some fun bartering with the cpw retentions guy using the info here.
After rejecting about 5 or 6 progressively improving deals, I was offered the 600min/1000txt/unlimited web for 18months with £540 cashback, bringing it to £5pm overall. Very tempted but remembered the stress I had with a cashback deal a few years ago and how I'd swore never to do one again.
So I pushed him to find a 24 month tariff and by agreeing to drop my web requirements (which I hardly used anyway), I've ended up with a sweet 400min/400txt at £5pm (+billing) for 24 months and No cashback :j
Good luck bartering!

What i have worked out with CFW is that if you call them for upgrade they do not offer you the best deal. If you call them 30-37 days before the end of the contract and go stright to discounection department and give them month notice, they very quickly offer you a good deal. yesterday I got 400 min 400 text 24 months for £5.oo not the cash back deal on two contracts, when I tries 60 days before the end of my contract the best they offered me was £11.00 with cask back.0

also am sorry but am sure you understand i wouldnt be happy giving my number out!!

Just spoke to them, they said the best they could offer me is 275 minutes. So i said fine and took my disconnections number.
They then called me back and said they spoke to a manager about me seeing a better deal so can offer me the deal I asked for. They offered the 400 minutes.
200 mins + 400 texts which start in a few days and then there are 200 bonus minutes which start in a month. 24mth contract, £20 per month discounted by £15, so actual direct debit cost is £5 per month (and no cashback).
Thanks for the info on here guys.:cool:0 -
Just thought I would mention this for anybody on e2save.
Called CPW 02 retentions yesterday and was told to contact 02 directly for retention deals. Coincidentally, received a text message from e2save today advising me to call 08000496020 for retention deals on e2save. So it seems, if you are with e2save you can upgrade/cancel with 02 or with e2save so maybe worth trying both.
Hope this helps somebody.0 -
i have another contract with o2(direct)which is for DD when i renegotiated that deal i enquired about my own and was told they can access some cpw/02 accounts but not all(mine wasnt one of them)... Am thinking of a new one:beer:0

I just received a call from CPW, must say the offer I was given was quite derisory.
I told the guy I wanted to cut my cost to the bone (like most people). I was offered the same minutes and texts as now but for £25 a month as opposed to the current £30. (on a full cashback deal at present). They would also put a £150 credit onto my account meaning 6 months free on the offered 18 month deal.
I am definatly not going to go for that, told him I was looking around as both my wife and my deal were ending but he wouldn't budge. Are they likely to improve this offer? I would definatly go for the £5 a month deals others have posted above.
Would it be better if I called them myself?0
