CPW O2 Retentions Thread

ive just quickly scanned a few of the deals on this thread,

my upgrade was also through the O2 retentions depo, ive been doin this for 3 years now,

after a few call backs and negotiations i managed to get out of them:

800 mins 2000 txts (1000 txts being a loyalty bonus with rollover)
with new nokia 6220
with new football shirt worth £40
all for £20 p/m (including VAT) for 18 months (up until this upgrade i was on 12 month contracts, i used this point to negotiate a better deal)

on top of this they offered me O2 home broadband, 16mb package for £2.50 p/m

Whether you've been conned or not remains to be seen. However, you are unlikely to see the full detail of the offer on paper. I had a similar dalliance with CPW recently when two of my contracts were due for renewal. They made an offer that was too good to refuse, but refuse it I did. The reason that I refused was that no written detail was forthcoming, despite the promise that there would be. A most unsatisfactory way for a major company to conduct its contract busiiness.

....and of course you have the full detail of this written down on paper?

Have been through this whole thread, which I wished I had found earlier. Been roaming round all sorts of threads.
From peoples past experiences, it looks as if I will have lost out on my last cashback deal for my last contract and I have been suckered into this new one for 18 months. As I cant cancel this contract, when is the earliest I can change to a different tarr if? I dont want to risk £35per month without hope of the cashback which was offered to me. (especially since the chances of getting anything in writing are nil!):mad::mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

If I understand you correctly, your last cashback is invalidated as your contract was renewed (hence changed) within the original contract period. The same happened to me, but the customer services rep I spoke to elevated my complaint to me, and called me back a few days later admitting the fault was theirs having checked the call recording which confirmed that I had asked for the new contract to start after the original one ended. I received the cheque for the final cashback in the post a week later.

If this does not work for you try a moneyclaim.gov route to get your cashback, as the contract's terms were broken by CPW and not by you, whilst you are the one being penalised for it.

CPW is who you sue when you sue E2Save. Since they are one and the same company why wouldn't it work?

I was promised full written terms and condition when I renewed under the £600 cashback deal; none appeared with phone. Called then back and refused offer of having them sent "in a few days" Made it clear that I intended to cancel deal under distance selling regs and asked wher I sent it back to ? Result e mail within the hour and letter 2 days later.

As a previous writer noted its all part of the game you have to play if you want a free mobile service

On CPW o2
I have had enough of cash backs and Royal Mail Tracking systems. This time
No phone 400 minutes calls, unlimited text, free voicemail, for £5 paid monthly for 24 months.
It might not be the best but it suits me right now.

Unlimited text turns out to be 1000 a month
This is the Option 25 at £25 less £15 loyalty less £5 for 24 months
Two bolt ons double the option.

called CPW o2 and for some reason it hasn been actioned :rolleyes: - she filled in a "illegal migration" (WFT!) form and said it will be added though will take a few days to action.
