    Pretty happy with this.

    Dear Mr ***,

    Thank you for your email.

You purchased your contract on the 26th July 2008 for number
******. You are on a 12 month contract at £35.00 a month. You have
400 cross net minutes and 500 texts.

In regards to your redemption, you have a cheque back offer of £420.00,
which will be paid in three instalments.

You will have to pay the full line rental every month (as stated in the
contract details). In order to get the reduced line rental, you need to
send back your 4th, 8th and 12th airtime bills (November 2008, March
2009 and July 2009) as and when you receive them and we will send you a
cheque for £140.00 for each invoice processed. The address to send your
redemption claim to is as follows:

    Redemptions
    PO Box 356
    Southampton
    SO30 2PG

It is important that you forward the bill within 60 days of receiving
it, photocopies of your invoices are accepted. You only have to post us
the invoice itself and no other documents.

We advise our customers to send their bills to us via Royal Mail Special
Delivery as they provide you with a reference number, this reference
number enables us to track your post should we not receive it.

Once we have received your invoice your claim will be processed and a
cheque will be sent out to you. Please allow up to 60-days for the whole
process to be completed from when we receive your invoice.

You can find more relevant information on the redemption process on our

My contract is up on the 20th of this month, and I really want an iphone, but also really hate O2 (they welched on their offer last year and just charged me what they wanted). Are there any better deals than the published tariffs out there?

Just rang to cancel my previous deal (12 months: 750xnet offpeak mins and 125 txts.. Free! £300 paid into account upfront)

Was offered and accepted 18months: 75xnet mins, 250 txts + free bolt unlimited o2-o2 calls for £5 a month. (£15 loyalty discount)

hey i had this same deal..rang them today as i was due to upgrade. I sed that i wanted to carry on with the same deal if possible. the guy i spoke to sed not possible as they dnt do this tarrif anymore and that we cant keep giving free line rental forever!

he offered me 600mins xnet anytime+ unlimited weekends, cant remember wot he sed bout txs, 18 month contract. £35 p/month with £420 cashback via redemption in 6,10,14,18 months. works out to be bout £11 p/m. Ima bit wary of cashback deals after getting shafted by e2save and must admit that them putting the credit into my account was so convenient!

can anyone tell me whether they have managed to get cashbak upfront like this for 2 contracts in a row, and are carphone warehouse reliable with cashback deals.

could someone also give me details of the £5 / 24 month deal. how did u get it? and is it via cashback?

    thanx

Ive just signed up to the £5 per month deal. All you do is phone customer services and ask them to put you through to the retentions department. Once with the retentions department i just told them i wanted to upgrade to the £5 per month deal and he said it was available so i got offered it. It is not on cashback terms.

Can't comment on the chequeback's but they seem quite reasonable, give you 60 days and you only have to send a copy of the relevant monthly bills.

To get the £5 deal simply callback and tell them you don't fancy faffing about with chequebacks! I tried to blag a totally free one like last time but they were adament £5 per month is the best they can do (They deduct £15 every month from the tariff, so you do really pay £5 a month!)
    SLC: £13000+

    Quidco
    : £
    131.24 (paid) + £0 (validated) = £131.24
    Valued Opinions
    : £75 (paid) + £52.30 (received) + £4.50 (pending) = £131.80
    StudentPanel: £25

Was also promised the details in writing within 5 days

    we shalll see

From my experience, they don't send written confirmation despite what they say in their script (easy solution - update script or simply send out the details as promised - not difficult  ).

Anyway, I suggest that you email them at the address above and they send out the confirmation email (as included a couple of times above) confirming exactly which bills/month to send. Worth noting that (in my case at least) this bill one month after they have previously been (used to be bill 4 was the 4th bill which includes advance payment for m4, but now seems to be 5th bill, 9th and 13th to reflect that the bill was paid for m4,8,12).

I have been offered the following 18 month retention deal by CPW, without a new handset:

    £35 per month
600mins 1000sms - + Loyalty promo of an additional 200mins (anytime, any network)
Bolt ons - ITS, VM, Itemised Billing free (upon request)
    Redemption - £600, £200 each at months 6, 12 and 18
Therefore the monthly cost would equate to £1.67

    How does that sound?

Just got back from holiday with my contract (and that of my wife) up for renewal. I used Steve's offer as my benchmark to aim for and they offered me exactly the same deal. I didn't say yes there and then but the really helpful guy I spoke to at CPW called Casey is going to call me first thing on Monday so I can give a definite yes.

So well done Steve and CPW too - I'm extremely happy with the offer! :T
