............and do you have all of this in writing?

I don't yet but it should be here soon.

I did however ring up and confirm the details with another CS rep as I wanted to confirm if it was unlimited mobile calls over the weekend, and if itemised billing was free.

So I might not have it in writing, but I always ring later and check to see they have the right details and they do so I'm not gonna have any problems.

How come no-one has been offered a deal like mine? No-one struck lucky?

I would go for a 18 monther as it would mean sending a cashback once every 6 months rather than 4 and also no worries for 17 months (assuming you upgrade after 16).

I've accepted this deal on two contracts. I got offered it straight away the first time I called up, but then when I called back I had to wait for the retentions guy to find it on the system under 'managers authorisation' and then get his manager to OK it.
    Nice to save.

To save yourself a lot of potential hassle, I would call them back and tell them that unless the fiull detail f the offer is received in writing, that there's no deal.

Thanks for the advice, but this is not my first redemption upgrade.

I'm confident I will be OK. This however might not be the case for other people........ so anyone else reading this post take heed of what steve_xx said

A footnote to my renewal. In the conversation I was told that I had 14 days to withdraw, should i wish to do so. The written terms arrived after 15 days (coincidence?) and were not what I agreed. A phone call to CS confirmed that my notes at the time were correct and the written terms incorrect. You just can't rely on this outfit!

I was offered the 275 mins + 250 texts for £5 a month by CPW O2 retentions, same as quite a few other people. However, change over day has come and my account is only showing the 75 mins - not the 275 mins.
I'm gonna give them a call later on, but could anyone confirm that they've actually got this deal and that its working as expected?

I've just had that one offered to me too (over 24 months with no new phone). The guy warned me that the first month will only be 75 minutes, as it's actually an Online 15 tarriff with a £10 discount and a 200 minutes bolt-on. For some reason the bolt-on can't be applied until the second month. That's probably what's happened to you - unless the guy I spoke to was lying. I should get the paperwork confirmation through before the 14 days cooling off or else I will be phoning him again!

wow - talk about hard sell for 20mins!!! Last year i had a direct £300 credit to my account for £25pm so worked out at £0

    Now been offered £25pm, 200m/200t, 18m - £350 back by redemption at 6,10,14,18 months. = £5.55pm
    Or as above with a free nokia 6300 with £250 redemption....= £11(ish)pm

Think i will push them or get a PAC code

    Got my cheque today.

A bit of background. I upgraded in Feb but never got any emails or letters confirming the chequeback deal. Every time i rung they could see it on their system but nothing in writing.

So as i've received my first chequeback (for this contract), i'm pretty chuffed.

Can I ask how you went about calculating what was month 4 - i.e was it from the end of your old contract date, or the fourth bill received on the new contract?

And did you simply post them a copy of the relevant bill?

    Thanks
