I was wondering if I could have people's thoughts on what retentions have offered me:

    Free Nokia 6300
    600 mins
    1000 texts
    £15 month

I don't want to do any cashback deals as I've had enough of them tbh. He said this is the best he can do, but can I do better?

    Thanks

Do you really need the phone??
If not, try to negotiate the price down.
I understand about your cashback deal concerns and I'm hoping for a £5 per month deal if possible.

    Just been offfered and taken:
    600mins 1000txts
unlimited mobile and landline calls on weekends
max charge for internet = £1 a day!

£35 per month for 18 months plus £600 back via redemption i.e. £30 in total overall for 18 months!

I'm on CPW O2 and been offered...
    600 mins
    500 txts
    £40/mth - £320 cashback (in 3 installments)

giving... £13.33/mth. Selling the phone I could probably make it £10.83/mth

DialAPhone have an Orange deal on their website (600mins/500txts) for £15.83/mth, but once you take into account quidco (£60), plus £30 refer-a-friend and selling the phone that makes it £8.07/mth.

So unless they can offer me some of the deals others seem to be getting I may end up moving.

I was offered the 275 mins + 250 texts for £5 a month by CPW O2 retentions, same as quite a few other people. However, change over day has come and my account is only showing the 75 mins - not the 275 mins.
I'm gonna give them a call later on, but could anyone confirm that they've actually got this deal and that its working as expected?

I called today to disconnect and was offered the same deal as you. I refused it, though it's not bad if it comes off. I noted that she said it would be for 18 months, whereas my current contract is for 12 months.

Sadly, this is what happens if you don't insist on being given the offer in writing before you contract to it.

Always get the offer in writing before you contract to it.

Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:

As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.

Yes, absolutely agree. Get them to email you with the offer so you have it in writing. Make sure you get the name of the person you spoke to and make a note of the time and date of the call. If they wont, or appear to be unwilling to do this, then it is reasonable to be suspicious. Verbal contracts, whilst perfectly legal, are a nightmare to prove.

How come no-one has been offered a deal like mine? No-one struck lucky?

I would go for a 18 monther as it would mean sending a cashback once every 6 months rather than 4 and also no worries for 17 months (assuming you upgrade after 16).
