CPW O2 Retentions Thread

Ok, I thought it would be good to set up a thread just on CPW O2 Retentions as lots of people ask about this on seperate threads and because CPW 02 is different then O2 directly, their deals and offers are completely different. This forum would make it easier to seperate the two and help others to negotiate better deals for example as well as seeing what CPW 02 have on offer.

I start first.

I am nearing the end of my current contract. I have been on CPW O2 250 tariff (12 month contract - with 12 months free line rental on Nokia 2600 handset. £420 cashback) and just 3 weeks left until it ends.

So far, when I have spoken to CPW Customer loyalty team, I was offered the following:

1. 400mins 100 SMS, 12 month contract, £35 pm. 11 months free line rental but no handset. Works out to be £2.92 a month at the end. Offer is via cashback months 4,8 and 12 by sending bills.

2. Nokia E61 (free), 400 mins, 100 SMS, 12 month contract, £35 pm with 150 cashback. Works out to be £22.50 a month at the end and again via cashback in 3 stages.

So far, I haven't been happy with what I have been offered. Still in negotiations with them and will update as soon as a decision has been made.

What have other people been offered?

Also just to add, I wonder if forum moderators can direct all CPW O2 Retention related threads in this thread please. Thanks :)

I've just "upgraded" to the O2 SIM-only deal from O2 200 (like yours, with cashback). My account seems to have swopped over to the 400 mins straightaway, but suprisingly I have also been allocated 400 extra texts! There is a text promotion on O2 for 18-month deals and I've emailed CPW to see if this entitlement has been extended to 12-month deals over £35 as well.
If so, I'm getting 400 mins and 500 texts for £2.92 per month!
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.

I did consider that deal but I wanted a smartphone. I wanted teh Nokia E60 and for 1 week I have been messed about by CPW. They have them in stock but different people have said different things to me, some say its in stock, some say its not set up on a deal etc. They have messed me about. I will wait this week otherwise I will sign them off.

    I've been offered 400mins + 100 text @ £35pm with £300 cashback so £120 for the year with either K800i / D900 / N73 - have to sent in bills btw.

Phones are good etc but not sure if I really need all those features
    .
Currently have a K750i and need a new phone coz the joystick sticks sometimes otherwise I would just sell the new one on Fleabay.

Anyone think this is a good offer?

I would say that is a fantastic offer especially if you take the Nokia N73. The N73 is a very expensive phone. Are you sure its not a refurbished/clearance phone though?

    A very good package.

Just out of interest, do you know which CPW staff offered you that deal? or their contact number?

I'm on o2 with cpw at the mo, just over my 18mth contract. I want the nokia n75 (imminent release - supposedly!!!). cpw salesman has said if i get orange £40 pm contract for 18mths he'll give me phone for £20. However, I am happy with 02, so would they offer better to keep me? only thing i like about orange is the orangecare and can't get that anyway if through cpw.

I am due for an upgrade aswell and was just quoted the 400mins 100 sms sim only contract (working out at 2.92 per month) from the cpw. This was through the 'loyalty' department as i have been with them for over 3 years. The thing is that i have found the same deal with three other websites! i questioned this with cpw and they are to get back to me to see if they can better it. Has this happened to anyone else? If so were you offered anything additional?

Monday this week. Two weeks earlier I got offered K800i on 250mins / 100 text with £270 cashback so £90 for year.

The guy told me the deals change daily - I'm wondering if they are better at the start of the month.

It is a good deal but I am a bit worried about not having anything in writing - ie. if they don't pay up the cashback.
