I'm going to T-Mobile on Flex35 Web and Walk (£42.50/month), they offered a free N95 and £30 cashback plus the GPS software.

I just called O2 CPW for my PAC code. The guy said he would give me a free N95 for £40/month on my current contract (02 250). I pointed out to him that for £2.50 extra a month, I was getting more than 2x the minutes and texts plus unlimited web, plus £30 and the GPS software.

He then told me to write in for my PAC. Oh well, bye bye O2!

The guy told me the deals change daily - I'm wondering if they are better at the start of the month.

Definately. That is when the new promotions start. Especially now as Easter holidays are about to come, this is the one of their busiest periods during the year (Xmas period being the most busiest) so this is when they tend to make lots of sales and profit.

Just upgraded the wifes phone which was due on 21/04/07

    Got a Nokia N95 on 400 Mins & 100 Texts for £30/Mth on a 18 Month Contract. £129.99 for the Handset with £100 Cashback. £50 on month 6 & 12.

Was on O2 250 at £35/Mth so well pleased with upgrade, especially as I get the phone having bought her a Nokia 7373 Pink PAYG for £129.99 and used her contract SIM.
    Cheers

Like yourself GTZ101, I am nearing the end of my current contract. I have been on CPW O2 250 tariff (12 month contract - with 12 months free line rental on Nokia 2600 handset. £360 cashback) and I am on my 10th Bill, which I have to say I have had no problem getting my cashbacks so far, only one cashback to go at the end of the 12 month.

I see you are looking to renew your contract with CPW 02, can you advise myself, If you have sent in your 30 Day Notice yet to cancel the contract that you are on, or did you just telephone CPW 02, to see what deals they have going. I would be happy enough to stay with CPW 02, if I got the same deal as before.

I would appreciate any advice which you can give to myself.

(By the way fairplay to you for setting up this thread just on CPW O2 Retentions as I see like yourself lots of people ask about this on seperate threads on CPW 02 (makes it a lot easier to help others to negotiate better deals, as well as seeing what CPW 02 have on offer).

I phoned CPW Customer Care on 0870 0870168 and followed the prompts to cancel - you eventually get put through to Retentions or "Loyalty" which offers you deals to stay with O2. have a pen and paper handy to write down the name of the person you deal with and what they offer. Make sure you know the best deals that are available on their website so they don't try and offer you something less attractive!
They best thing about upgrading directly is that you get to keep your number and the new tariff may be activated quite quickly.

My only query is that my a/c has been upgraded in month 11, so my 12th bill shows the new tariff and is technically bill 1. But I still need to submit it for my last chequeback. I've emailed CPW to make sure my last chequeback is still possible, but has anyone else successfully submitted a final bill on their new tariff?
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.

I didn't give my 30 days notice. What I did was speak to 9 different staff from the Customer Loyalty team all on different days to establish who can offer the best deal.

Each staff is different and each staff will offer different deals. Personally me, I try to bargain hard with them and I like to push the deal as much as I can with them with reason. I would research the phone your interested in first. Shop around a few places to see who offers the best deal and try to negotiate with CPW.

Also, make sure anything they offer is put in writing.

Let us know how it goes :)

Ok, I was eventually offered the following after weeks of negotiations and patience (well worth it in my view):

Nokia E65 - Free (there was a upgrade fee for this handset but it was discounted to zero and given for free)

400 Xnet Minutes and 500 SMS per month for the first 6 months then changes back to 100 SMS per month for the remaining 6 months.

    £300 cashback.

    12 month contract.

Works out to be £10 per month (£120 a year). However, there was a upgrade fee for the Nokia E65 which was £89.99 but the advisor was very generous and it was discounted to 0 and was offered for free so effectively it means the deal works out to be £2.50 per month.

I could complain with that and I was more then happy with it. The handset alone currently costs £300 if brought sim free and it was only released in February 2007.
