1) If we to purchase Day Travel Cards (zone 1-4), can I do that from Penge West station every day morning to get qualify for 2 for 1 for that particular day?Or do I have to get it from a 'Central London train station'?2) Is day travel card valid for all transport modes (tube under/over, tain and bus) even if it was purchased from a train station?0

There's quite a large car park at Watford Junction and the station is managed by London Midland, so yes your plan should work
Sunday parking is a fiver unless it's gone up0 -
Went to ZSL today and they didn't even ask for the train tickets! Spent ages trying to buy the tickets as well. Oh well, better safe than sorry lol. Plus it was only £1.70 each with a 16-25 railcard.0

A great website! Going to visit London soon. Found lots of useful information here.
What if I actually use the ticket from Vauxhall (going to see the MI6 building there) to Waterloo. Is it going to be retained at the exit at Waterloo? If so, I’m not going to be able to use the 2for1 voucher for the London Eye. ?
Last time I stayed in a hotel near Peckham Rye railway station. A single from Peckham Rye to Denmark Hill costs 1.80. Do you think you can use that one instead of the Vauxhall-Waterloo?0 -

Don't put your ticket in the gate.
Instead, get the guy on the gate to open it and let you keep the ticket.markwants2no wrote: »If so, I’m not going to be able to use the 2for1 voucher for the London Eye. ?markwants2no wrote: »Last time I stayed in a hotel near Peckham Rye railway station. Save 40p.
Denmark Hill is in London.0 -
Thanks, wealdroam!
just received a reply from the London Eye customer service. It says there that you can only use the 2for1 voucher in conjunction with a RETURN train ticket, although it doesn’t say so anywhere on the daysoutguide website.

We currently have a winter 2 for 1 offer with National Rail when purchasing a return train ticket to London. Each voucher allows you to receive a free standard ticket when a full price adult standard ticket is purchased at the London Eye ticket office in conjunction with the voucher and valid return train ticket to London for each person using the offer.

I’m going to try the Peckham Rye-Denmark Hill scheme anyway and see if it works.0 -

They seem to imply that tickets for a return journey are needed... be it two singles or a return ticket.0 -
If for example you are buying single tickets, e.g.Advance tickets to London for a one-way journey on a Monday, and Advance tickets for departing London on a Friday you will be able to use the vouchers during the Monday-Friday period, provided you show both outward and return tickets (remember to tell the train company staffs that you need to keep your outward tickets!).
If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!

And as you need either a Travelcard or Oyster PAYG to get around London at a sensible price it's a simple no-extra cost option than trying to find the cheapest train tickets because you are flying or driving into London.
Could you please clarify - can I buy a weekly London Travelcard for zones 1-4 and use it for claiming those offers from DaysOutGuide?
In that case -should it only be purchased from National Rail Ticket office (don't know where's the closest one to Buckhurst Hill) and does it have the same fares as weekly Oyster card. Thanks.0
