Exactly right. Everything you say is true.

Are you now planning to go from Richmond to London Zoo by train/tube?

If so get oneday travelcards at any National Rail station.

If you are still intent on driving to Regents Park, buy an Anytime Single from Vauxhall to Waterloo at £2 for each person.
These tickets can also be bought at any National Rail station.

    P.s. what's an Octopus holder?

You can buy a Travelcard at a train station and it can be used on the Tube, trains within the zones it's eligibl for and for buses & trams throughout London. It also gets you the 2-4-1 offers on daysoutguide.com

Octopus is a scheme in Hong Kong that initially was similar to Oystercard but has expanded into becoming a general payment card

    Ahh... ok, thanks.

    Then to answer P1tse...
No, Octopus holders cannot take advantage of the 2 for 1 promotion. ;)

  • Hi everyone,

Just a quick question that I couldn't find the answer to...

I have subscribed for the 2for1 to London Zoo and a restaurant, and I want to book the Zoo online now, ahead of time. How do I go about using the voucher for this purpose?

Would I book one ticket and claim the free one on the day with the voucher?

    Thanks,
    James

I do not think you can buy in advance when using this offer.

    The terms and conditions say...
11.Tickets purchased in conjunction with 2for1entry/daysoutguide.co.uk vouchers must be used on the day of purchase and this offer is not valid with any pre-booked tickets.

Thanks for pointing this out wealdroam, that makes it very clear :)

I'm booking for Jan 8th, it's a Saturday, do you think I'm pretty safe to buy tickets on the day? I mean, do Zoos sell out?!

You will probably need a travelcard to travel to the various attractions when in London, so I would just buy an off peak daily travel pass from a train station rather than a tube station, it will be fine to use for the 2 for 1 offers and allow unlimited travel on tubes and buses within the zones you want e.g. 1-2 off peak (purchase it after 9.30am) is £6.30 if you are doing attractions in only those zones. You will need a travelcard for each day.

You just need a train ticket terminating at a London station.
An Anytime Single from Vauxhall to Waterloo at £2.20 will do for any of the participating London attractions.
You will need a ticket for each person visiting the attraction, and you will need a ticket valid on the day of visiting the attraction.
Buy the train ticket(s) at any station... before you leave home if you like.
