I have a 2 valid single tickets for me and my wife to travel to London Victoria, but we're coming home on the same day by megatrain (which doesn't qualify for the 2 for 1). Can I still get the offer by just presenting the single tickets?0

So does the offer work just by buying a ticket (probably from Hendon or Cricklewood) and then presenting it when buying the ticket at the zoom, or do you need a printed voucher as well? We're thinking of going this weekend0

We're thinking of going this weekendTo take advantage of these offers just browse our list of 2FOR1 London attractions (look out for the pink ticket with 2FOR1 on it), click "Claim offer" to print off your 2FOR1 vouchers, and then present the vouchers together with your National Rail train tickets when you arrive at the attraction. (Read our FAQs for full details.)0

You need a voucher as well as TWO rail tickets (one for each person making use of the offer). You can print the vouchers from the website, or some rail stations have booklets detailing the offers which include three blank vouchers at the back you can use.0 -

So my thought was that I need a train ticket showing I'm LEAVING london on saturday. This way I don't have to by train tickets for both days. I'd have my Cardiff->London showing I'm coming in. And my London->wherever showing I'm leaving. I just wasn't sure if the return ticket had to be back to the same place. Is that a safe assumption it doesn't have to be back to the same place or am I better off getting train tickets for both friday and saturday showing I arrived in London both of those days?
I don't think the days out people have thought of that scenario so it's an open question.
But assuming you are going to be travelling around London anyway it's simpler to get travelcards for the days you need them - why complicate things? After all two tube rides at cash fares cost more than a travelcard.0 -
People seem to be fixating on the train ticket - you can use the offers if you buy a London Travelcard at a National Rail booking office in London.
And as you need either a Travelcard or Oyster PAYG to get around London at a sensible price it's a simple no-extra cost option than trying to find the cheapest train tickets because you are flying or driving into London.0 -
Hello,
Me and my spouse travelling from Edinburgh to Penge West (Edi - Kings corss, then Tower bridge and Penge West) with return, on a Monday and stay in a hotel nearby till Friday. My plan is to use Travel cards for the three days (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) from Zone 1-4 in order to use 2 for 1 vouchers. I read thru the previous posts and found that our inward and return tickets would work this out, but i'm asking this in case if we cannot keep our tickets from Kings cross gates (since we need to show both tickets). My questions are
1) If we to purchase Day Travel Cards (zone 1-4), can I do that from Penge West station every day morning to get qualify for 2 for 1 for that particular day? Or do I have to get it from a 'Central London train station'?
2) Is day travel card valid for all transport modes (tube under/over, tain and bus) even if it was purchased from a train station?
We have been in UK for only 4 months, sorry if my questions are trivial
Thanks in advance!0 -
