Changing tariff with EDF
Comments
-
And absolutely no evidence that EDF wouldn't honour their deal to those signed up. As far as I'm concerned, and the email I recieved backs this up, I haven't "reserved" anything, Blue 2014 is my new tariff and the switch will take place on 1 Oct 2012.
Really cant decide between staying with EDF or the SP fix.
If I use the link to transfer to EDF blue on 1st Oct can I change my mind between now and then?

Hi, and apologies for not reading the entire thread if my answer lies within.
I have just switched to Blue PricePromise on the back of the MSE e-mail and would like to know if it comes with an energy monitor? It was not specifically mentioned but I don't know if they just come as standard these days? I don't currently have one so it would be useful...

***UPDATE***
According to MSE news the EDF "Blue +Price Promise April 2014" offer has been withdrawn from comparison websites. You can still change if you are an existing EDF customer which i have just done myself. Not sure how much longer they'll allow this as the news says they've nearly reached their quota for the deal.0 -
It has indeed gone from Uswitch, although is still shown on EDF's website.
All that shows for EDF on Uswitch is their standard tariff, and it's way down the list. My account now shows a contract end date of 30 April 2014 (switched from Blue September 2013 to Blue April 2014).
I am sure a new Blue product will replace the April 2014 version and it could happen any day now or they could leave it until 1st October to allow their existing 30 September 2012 fixed customers to switch over.
I think it is likely to go before the 1st October but of course they will honour it for all those who applied/opted to switch before the date they pull it.
Either way, any new Blue product will be more expensive but will no doubt have a new price promise date (possibly 30 September 2014) so it can be marketed as price promised for two years.
All guesswork, of course.0 -
