hi again, i'm trying to cut my calorie intake, which is easy when the food is labelled, but not so easy for other things like bakery bread etc. Can anyone reccommend a good online food calorie counter?? I have found a few but they often say per 100g, and i'd rather see per slice etc.
any favourites out there??
cheers kat x
also...Lois i'm not on the chart anymore...is it because i havent posted a weigh in recently??Moneysavinghopeful :rotfl:0 -
hi
I`m new to the site, although have been watching from afar.
I have been doing slimming world, and have just got to target lossing 1 stone 1 lbs.
I have done t before, it was hard, but now I need to keep it off, which I know will be harder than the intail loss-which was not easy.
Any hints or tips?
Also, what do you do about clothes, 1 part of me just wants to go through my wardrobe and just get rid of everything that doesnot fit-so I can`t grow back into it! The other is thinking of the money.
I am going to save my class fee and spend it on clothes.
Thank you
Hi Crockpot - well done for getting to target, that's a great achievement.
In terms of hints or tips, I would say that the most important thing to do is continue attending your SW class. It will keep you focussed, and you'll be able to share the secrets of your success with people who are still trying to get to goal. Your consultant should advise you on how to maintain your weight, but the main thing is to continue food-optimising - adopt it as your lifestyle. You do need to increase your calorie intake, as otherwise you'll carry on losing weight and get too thin, and to do that you could allow yourself one or two more Healthy Extras each day - you will soon know if you're eating too much and you can cut back a little to stay at target.
Re the larger size clothes, be honest with yourself - if the reason you want to keep them is in case you put the weight back on, GET RID OF THEM! Not having them will be more motivating and help to keep you at the weight you are now. If you're worried about not being moneysaving, sell them on ebay, or have a car boot sale and spend the proceeds on new clothes. If you're not worried about the money, give them to your local charity shop or to one of those doorstep collections for the third world.

Sorry, Sorry Sorry, Sorry Sorry, Sorry Sorry, Sorry Sorry, Sorry Sorry, Sorry
I have just got home after a week of commuting to and from London on a training course. Next week I have the joys of working a stand at a trade show for two days. Part of this means we all have to wear to company branded shirts.
Guess what? I was asked in January for my collar size, I gave both my collar size, my chest and my T shirt size to be safe, as we had a problem last year with polo shirts, but I was bigger thenThis is for an 'Oxford' Shirt
And this evening when it arrives, it dont fit!! Well to be fair it fits on the collar, but it looks like a 'tailored fit' in that as long as I dont sit, bend or cough then it buttons up over my waist/belly/moobs. Even the sleeves are tight on my biceps!
I wouldnt mind so much if I hadnt spend all the hours in the gym and been so damm good over the last 15 months, making myself presentable/hunky/sexy. Its not as if they dont know what I look like,
I know what will happen come Monday when I ring to boss to complain, it will be wear a white shirt and turn up. But I want to be part of the team, I want ot fit in and not stand out, I dont want people looking at me and noticing I am wearing a different shirt and thinking 'fat bloke cant get a shirt to fit' Currently I would rather take a written warning than put myself through the humilation of working a stand looking different.
I am sorry for moaning, believe me I am so wound up I am nearly in tears about this. Its not fair to me, its too late in day to do anything about it, its ruined the evening I had planned out with Mrs Suggs as no kids tonight and I will spend all weekend worrying and probably in the gym because of this.
Sorry

Anyone know syns for homemade rice pudding. Was on green day and used 6 oz pudding rice, 2 pints skimmed milk and 2 oz splenda. Was enough for 4 portions but I don't know how to work it out:o Have eaten it now and was very nice too... :rotfl:
Jo
You only need to count syns for the milk, as pudding rice and splenda are free. Just doing a quick mental calculation... 350ml is one HEa and therefore 5 or 6 syns...350ml is approx 1/3 of a litre... 2 pints is a little more than 1 litre, so about 18 syns..? That's only 4.5 syns per serving, so not bad. (Tell me you didn't eat all 4 servings...:rotfl: )
There's a recipe for rice pudding on the recipes thread, which makes enough for 2, and is one HEa per serving.
