Yesterday was my first day and I fell off the wagon.I had a reduced priced tub of ready made egg mayonise sitting in the fridge winking at me last night when I got home from work.It was 150g and I sat on the sofa and scoffed the lot!

It was quite nice but nothing exciting,I only ate it cos I didn`t dare waste it.

I`m always starving when I get home from work at roughly 11.20pm.So tonight I`ve got a small tin of pineapple rings in own juices to scoff when I get in.Which should fill that gap, hopefully!

To quote a wise bird (aka consultant31) "if there was one bad flower in the vase you wouldnt throw the whole bunch out would you?" So don't let one or two bad days ruin your healthy eating plan.

Good job you left out the word "old" there :rotfl:

Will not be around for the next week or so, as I'm off on my jollies (to New York, no less, yippee!!) :j :j

I'll be back with you all sometime during the Easter weekend.

Be good (or be careful :rotfl: )
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Got weighed at boots today and lost 4 lb yipee:j :j

So that makes 2 stone and 5 lb in 3 months....

BMI down .4 to 27.7 (slow this BMI!!)....

The paper print out says I should be between 8 stone 10 lb and 11 stone 10 lb there is no way on this earth I could ever be 8 stone, my height is 5 foot 8.5!!:j :D

11 lb to go now... 1 more inch off the legs....I am 6.5 kilos over weight or 11 lb....

So at least when I see the diabetic nutritionalist next thursday I can say I have lost this amount and now how do I maintain?:D

Thanks everyone for your wise words. Feeling v motivated now. Looking forward to the gym tomorrow.

Hi to all the newbies, hope everyone has a good week.

That dessert sounds delish puddings, i never even thought of merangues as a low cal treat, aren't they quite high in sugar?? do they have to be hm or can they be shop bought???

well done victory! and everyone else who has lost.

Glad you had a good time suggs, good idea not to get straight back on the scales, it'll only demotivate you if its not good news, and in a weeks time your body will be back to it's normal routine and things will have evened out.

Have a good time in NY consultant :)

Going back to work now. I feel like a stalker posting so soon after my last post :D

I've just found a brilliant way to control my appetite - browse the pure money forum. Feeling a bit queasy now thinking about controlling my debts but on the minus side it's also given me a headache!

    Jmd -

Victory - Sarymaclary's idea of bringing something to the buffet is a great one. I would just bring it, rather than ask your SIL, then she won't have the opportunity to refuse! Famous fairy cakes - tell all!! Secret family recipe  I looooovvvve fairy cakes!! lol

No massive secret:D just so simple to remember and use my 6 year old loves it to death and does it himself..supervised... it is just 6 oz of self rasing flour, 6 0z of butter (you can try the low fat versions or the low calorie cooking ones, I use St Ives extra light...6 oz of sugar (use light, splenda, the regular sugar) and 3 eggs, mix (Gas mark seven for 12-14 mins) and add at the end into the mix either hundreds and thousands, coconut bits, chocolate drops, those little coloured balls (all in the bakery section of any supermarket) good mix put in fairy cake (makes 12) cups, into the tin and bake....

I had so many kids in the summer hols coming to the door to ask for them I had to stop for a while as it was too much:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Now I make them every half term, easter hols etc and the kids love them, I never eat them as being diabetic, too much sugar in them but can be swapped for light or splenda which I did a few weeks ago and my H did not notice so will keep that up (H loves the coconut ones) they rise well and are normally eaten before they get cold:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

You right about the buffet... I will just make my own coleslaw(found a low fat version on the internet) and a few other low fat dishes and take them....

SUGGS The challenge is fine by me also (I made this one with loads of LB's to spare!!)

    Hi

Connie in 18befef80d.gif If you do this 68d3fe846e.gifin Times Square while singing "New York, New York it's a wonderful place...." in your best Ethel Mermen voice you'll come home 10lbs lighter. Have a 'Swell Vacation' (that's American for 'nice holiday')

What a lot of posts, well done to all the losers and maintainers and gainers for keeping going.

Victory, 4lbs AGAIN, words fail me other than :T I like that recipe for the fairy cakes, I was always under the impression that low fat spreads and splenda type things couldn't be used in cooking, so I shall definitely give this a try.

That other lovely meringue recipe reminded me of another one that I got from WW a few years ago, it's a version of Eton Mess

1 small pot low-fat yoghurt (I use fromage frais)
mixed with 4 tblsp Frozen Fruits of the Forest (thawed until the juices just start to flow)
Then add a crumbled meringue nest and stir. This is really lovely on a hot summers day and, of course, you can vary the fruit to your choice but it's better if it's a juicy sort

sarymclary and katmadd99 There is no such thing as a 'whingey post' we all need to get things off our chest, and they usually turn out to be cathartic. At least you haven't given up :)

Great to see you back Suggs, glad you had a good time; of course Mrs Suggs missed you. Last year H went out one evening and a vicious butterfly flew into the lounge and proceeded to hold a "Reign of Terror" over DD and me. H couldn't believe that he couldn't leave us alone for just a few hours, let alone a weekend.

    xxxx
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

    Hi everyone,

Can I join in here? I am going to join weight watchers tonight. Bit scared about getting on the scales, I know it is going to be bad, but it can only get better right?

I am just about to book a holiday to Spain in June, so have 3 months to lose as much as poss before that. Do you think that it would be feesible to lose about 2 stone in that time?

Look forward to getting to know you all.
