Not been on much as I have hit a barrier I can't get passed 11st 1lb - in fact seem to move up and down between 11st 2lb and 11dt 4lb

I try as best as I can go for walks at lunch - homeade soup for lunch little wholemeal bread - apple orange as snacks and porridge for breakfast and weightwatchers type thing for tea - weekend I do have a couple of drinks Sat night and weekend treat but nothing major - feel like a real waste of space - will never fit in the dress for the wedding - daily excercise sit ups and stepper at nigh (only 10mins) after that my asthma gets up set :-(

Hope you don't mind me commenting on your diet etc. It may help...:D

1- I don't think your eating enough. Ditch the weightwatchers meal and cook some fish with steamed veg, or similar. Try to add some good fats. Have some almonds (small handful) and maybe add some flax seeds to your porridge.

2-Forget the sit ups. Do so simple body weight exercises such as squats, lunges, press ups etc...google body weight exercises.

hope this can be of some use - good luck in your goals

Can I ask you what the 2lb weight challenge is please and can I join?

My SW weigh in day is Monday and I maintained (still at 10st 3.5lb) I want to get to 9st 7lb - or thereabouts - as I'm only 5' 3" and that should be a good weight for me.

Do you have to just list your weight loss or what?

BTW this is my eating plan for today -
Branflakes with skimmed milk for breakfast with melon
cous-cous for dinner with HM carrot/bran muffin for afters,
tea tonight will be pasta with hm tom sauce.
I snack on fruit through the day, I plan to have a banana and an apple mid afternoon.

    Hi

Just a quickie, meant to refer to this earlier, but got put off...

Welcome 1sttimer. If you just post your weight loss, Lois will pick it up and enter it when she next does the chart. What I wanted to ask is about your eating plan for today, I notice that it seems to be very short of protein, is this normal on SW plans?

......I will come back to you re the butterfly when I think that you will take it seriously.....:p ....goes away huffily

Thanks for that Petrichor, I was just about to respond myself. SW green days are low in protein, however healthy extras can be used for small amounts of meat, fish or cheese.

I'm dying to hear about this vicious butterfly! I adore dragonflies, but one flew into my kitchen last summer and it was so stressed at being in an enclosed space it was batting itself against anything in its path, including me, which was quite frightening, so I think I know what you mean!

Petrichor - I fully sympathise. I hate butterflies, moths (especially hate moths!) and spiders. I can just about cope with other creepie crawlies. When DH is at work I often ring my dad (and I'm 30 with 2 kids!) to come round and get them out for me. One evening last summer a large moth settled in DS room. DH was at work, parents were out. Next door neighbours were out so in the end, after more than an hour of opening and closing DS door, looking at the blighter, deciding if I was brave enough to attempt to remove it I packed up DS, DD in their Pjs and went round to my parents and got into their spare beds :rotfl: What a treat for them when they returned home. I had contacted DH and asked him to come home and remove said moth but apparently I was over-reacting  :rotfl: So come on, Petrichor, I've shared my story.......

Went to gym and had my body analysis. Their scales weighed me same as SW which was good. Does anyone know what body fat % should be??

    Hi all

Victory - WELL DONE!! Another 4lbs, that's an amazing weight loss, and even more amazing to think you've achieved it 2 weeks in a row. Maintaining isn't easy, but once you've mastered losing weight you just need to continue in the same way, and re-introduce the foods you've been denying yourself, infrequently, and in small amounts. It's all about moderation.

Welcome back Flis21 :) - if my memory serves weren't you rewarded for your weight loss with a Radley handbag? If so, what's the reward to be this time?

Hi Suggs - 24oz steak  Was there room on the plate for anything else? DH had a 16oz steak once and couldn't finish it! ;)

Hi Cathys1 - good luck tomorrow, I hope the [STRIKE]induction [/STRIKE] [STRIKE]inducement [/STRIKE] process goes well and doesn't take long. A great way to lose weight, but I think I'll pass...

To everyone who is struggling, don't be afraid to post - sometimes it helps to download, and it may sound like whingeing, but we all know how you're feeling so you're in good company.

    Chin up!

I have been reading through the thread and realise I need to get some weight shifted as I am not happy with the way I am at the moment. I have previously been a lurker way back on thread no.5 ish and didn't do too badly. However, I seem to get myself in the right state of mind to lose weight and this can continue for a few weeks and I can lose up to a stone but then an occasion or some do will come along and I end up having a blow out and losing that state of mind.
Last September I had a bit of a health scare, crushing chest pain, numbness in left arm, all the signs of a heart attack and luckily the doctor said it was just stress but he decided to help me with my weight loss as my BMI is over 34! He did all the blood tests which came back with good results, my cholesterol was only at 3.5, but he prescribed me some tablets called Xenical which stop your body absorbing some of the fat that is contained within your meals. I started off at 15 stone and I am supposed to go back for 4 weekly check ups, the first of which I did attend and had lost 12lbs. But then Christmas happened, coughs and colds happened and I know it sounds like just a load of excuses but I ended up not going back to the doctors as I knew I had put some of the weight back on. I know I have to get this sorted and get back on what is left of the Xenical and get some weight shifted but I have to somehow get myself into that right frame of mind. I m too embarrassed to go back to the docs until I am at least back at what he saw me at last - I would have to lose 11lbs to get there.

How do you all get yourself into the right frame of mind. I know lots of people say take each day at a time but there is a lot of temptation comes my way, I am part owner of a sandwich bar that sells all manner of bad stuff and when I am tired or stressed I have a serious comfort eating problem and chocoholism to boot! I sometimes feel like I am doomed from the outset.

Sorry this is so long, I just need all the help I can get as I am a serial diet starter but I want this time to be the time I actually do it! Please can anybody help me? sob sob.

I was expecting a weight gain this week and was very pleased that I only put on 0.5 a pound! I will have to be extra good this week just in case last weeks excesses were delayed!:rotfl:

That's great news Marion, and, even better, you've still achieved your target for March :D :T

  • Well done all of you on your weight losses this week and well done Victory - you've done brilliantly.

I decided against getting weighed as I've been so good and feel so great (been to the gym every day) that I didn't want the scales to disappoint me. Today three different people have commented on how good I look and that I've obviously lost weight - and tried my summer gear on (including bikini) all fits (and some too big!) and I don't think I will scare anyone off so although I still have half a stone or so to lose to ideal weight, I will be going off to Oz on Saturday feeling great.

Sure I will be on here again before then but would like to say thanks to everyone for keeping me on track - reading this thread has really helped keep me focussed. I hope that I won't do too much damage when I am away as I love fish and salads when it's hot, but I know there will be alot of alcohol involved so think that may take its toll. Anyway, I'll be back on here on my return, determined to lose those last pounds.
Proud to be dealing with my debts

Well I ended up getting a Lulu Guinness handbag instead, which I love. But unfortunately since I broke my ankle have put some of that weight back on, sitting around a lot and everyone bringing me chocolates!!

So my leg cast came off last week, which is why I am now back here.

My incentive this time is two fold. First one is Doctor Who Second Series box set for my first stone off. Then it is going to be a holiday. Am looking at two weeks in Turkey, maybe about the end of June.

So first goal is to get a stone off, am hoping to do it in 6 weeks.

Right off to work out my points for tomorrow, wish me luck.
