Thank god i got a hectic day tomorrow that i prob wont have time to eat until 5pm. Then im rushing out to a Stiff Little Fingers gig, so will try to dance to burn off the crap ive ate today!

    Hi All

As this is now my favourite web site of all time now!!! It's fantastic that I can get encouragement for my much needed weight loss.

I am really trying to lose weight but I have no willpower at all. I have gone from being a size 8 to a size 18 in 3 years and I'm really becoming depressed about it to the point where it is all I can think about. I avoid people that I haven't seen since I have put on weight (including my own family) cause I am so scared that someone will comment on it (a few people have already)

I suffered with bulimia when I was 11/12 and I am even trying to revert back to my old ways (making myself sick, taking laxatives, I take a daily concoction of diet pills and I always take twice over the recommeded dosage) Now I am older (22) I know that I shouldn't be be doing this and this gets me more depressed as I can't see any other way out.

I have been to slimming clubs before and have been successful, by losing a stone here and there, but then I lose interest after 4/5 weeks and put it all back on plus some more.

My main problem is that I don't know what to eat anymore. I have tried so many diets, atkins, south beach, gi, slimming world that they all contridict each other

I have listed below what I have eate today and if anyone can see where I am going wrong can they please help

    Breakfast
    Special K with Skimmed Milk

    Lunch
Mug Shot Pasta (205 cals) with a plum

    Dinner
Salad - Lettuce, tomato, cheese, 1 x slice of ham, 1 x slice of beef, 1 x egg, 3 x new potatoes, heinz extra light salad cream plus 2 x slices of uncut bread with butter

I don't like tea or coffee and only drink no sugar juice or fizzy pop

In addition to this I have taken 12 slimming tablets - 4 before each meal, the recommended dosage is 2 before each meal

I felt like that I had a good day today but then at 9.30 I had a packet of walkers ready salted crisps and now feel so disappointed.

I'm sorry if I have rambled on - this website is a bit like free therapy and I didn't realise how upset I would get when I wrote it all down (I am now close to tears) If anyone could offer any help at all it would be gladly appriciated

    Hi Guys,
Well, I have lost 4lbs this week which is amazing as I am in the middle of moving and haven't been eating properly at all.
I am moving this Saturday so might not be around until next week when I have my broadband set up.
As soon as it is up and running I will post how much I have lost/gained.

    Hi

Just a quickie, meant to refer to this earlier, but got put off...

Welcome 1sttimer. If you just post your weight loss, Lois will pick it up and enter it when she next does the chart. What I wanted to ask is about your eating plan for today, I notice that it seems to be very short of protein, is this normal on SW plans?

I did have some grated cheese with my pasta. SW has 'green days' when it is more carbohydrate than protein but you can choose some protein healthy extras if you wish. I eat more green than original or red days as OH is a veggie and I much prefer to eat my fill with pasta/potatoes/rice. Other protein choices I have regular are eggs (not too many in week though as quite high in cholesterol) when I have them boiled with salad or mixed with cous-cous or veggie rice mix - also beans which is 'free-food'

Thanks for that Petrichor, I was just about to respond myself. SW green days are low in protein, however healthy extras can be used for small amounts of meat, fish or cheese.

Oops - didn't see this - but replied as above anyway! - Thanks
