Hello Everyone!
I haven't really been around or loosing since the beginning of March cos i've been away with work and things have been so hectic. I can't believe you're so far into LW11 already! Well done to everyone who's been consitantly loosing!
I'd like to rejoin and loose 2lb a week again, please! Jan and Feb went really well, but need to have another kick-start. There are nice clothes I want to wear by the summer!Proud to have become an Ocean Rower in 2010 (crossed the Atlantic in a crew of 4 ladies and had the best 77 days of my life!)0 -

Hi peeps:wave:
Just got back online after not having any internet since Wednesday PM, I won't bore you with all the details but suffice it to say that I have just beaten the living crap out of DD
Both MrP and I have had a wretched few days with the dreaded lurgy, but my mother isn't in the best of health at the moment either, so neither of us could just stay at home and take it easy. MrP had taken a weeks holiday as we were going to redecorate so all in all it's been a bit of a lost week. I shall be expecting a good weight loss tomorrow.
I've had a quick browse through the last few pages, and as usual there has been some inspiring stuff :T I'll get back to some of them tomorrow when I've had time to read them properly.
I'm going to try that virtual image thing that a lot of you have done and hope that I have the same success because none of you appear to be porky birds.....
.....but first of all, just because I'm still feeling a little jaded I'm going to cheer myself up by going and beating the living crap out of DD again, just for the sheer pleasure :rotfl: :rotfl:
Great to see you back Midget_Karen :j and welcome to all the newbies
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

Hi all
what a beautiful day we've had here today. Took DS to watch his team to play today, he was happy they won but wanted to play too... As he has now been told 12 weeks with no contact sport he is not too happy!!
Spent rest alternating between gardening and sitting in the sun.:D I cant remember who said they feel thinner with a tan but I know exactly what they mean. I've started using the Johnson body lotion with tan in to build up some colour:o
Food wise was pretty good. Had a cheese and ham toastie but used cheese from HE and brown bread:D Meatballs and spaghetti at tea time so could brown spaghetti be a HE2??? Consultant??
Consultant Where is the boot sale? I love them but always end up Whitley Bridge cos don't know where any others are:rotfl:
One DS back to school tomorrow, one got an inset day, first day backI'm gonna get to gym tho cos he's old enough to leave for an hour:D (not much longer tho..
Rachelmk Size 12, well done, that's what I'm trying to get back to:o
Years gone by I was a size 8 but that was pre-kids:rotfl: I would like to be a 10 again but I know that I would find that difficult to maintain and would end up beating myself up over it:rotfl:
Hope weather stays good 4 everyone.

How do I resist the temptation of getting on the scales?? started SW last week and have stuck to it like glue! filling up on free food etc (mostly red days), but am convinced I can't be losing if I can eat this much!! i know that if I get on the scales and I haven't lost I'll be disappointed, but on the other hand if I get to Thursday and weigh in and I've put on loads I be back to where I started and worse!! Sorry for rambling........0

Wondered where you were petrichor, great to hear from you even if you are busy with your DD:rotfl: :rotfl:
As for the scales Debbie...only once a week that is the law, if you have some in the house and cannot resist, let them go to a neighbour or family for now as that way you just can't do it as you have none:D
My scales were thrown out, partly for that reason and partly my H said they were not working entirely well so away with them and I go religiously once a week to boots on a tuesday to get weighed (o.k,o.k, I know it was twice last week but that was extenuating circumstances:rotfl: )
ONCE A WEEK- sing the mantra;)
If that is you Jo I am envious!! Lovely top, one I would never have the confidence to wear and do not own one that looks remotely like that!!
Rachel Size 12? Even more envy!!0 -
Victory
That is what the thingie showed as when Iput in weight etc...
Hubbie says is now quite like me but not what I see:o
I liked the top but could not wear one until I get rid of my bat wings:rotfl:
My hips are slightly wider too but couldn't get it to do that:D
I dont know why mine is so big but was so shocked I managed to put it on there I daren't touch it:rotfl: T:rotfl: Thank you lois for telling me how to do it:D
Off to bed soon, after Lost which OH forces me to watch every week, cos he knows it just annoys me never getting any further in storylineHe says it'll drive me mad if I never know... I say my life will be drastically improved:rotfl: Now if it was Greys Anatomy or House then...:rotfl:

Ok, here are the pertinent facts:
Current weight - 11.5 stone
Height - 5'7"
Insulin dependent diabetic for 35 years (I am 40 in October)
Problem(s):
I eat heathily and work full time (shift work)
On a work day my meals are as follows - Oat Granola or Crunchy Bran for breakfast with semi-skinned milk, mid-morning is a banana, lunch consists of sugarsnap peas, courgette, carrot, cherry tomatoes, Activia Fibre yoghurt, apple, and some grapes. Mid afternoon snack is usually another apple or other fruit. My evening meal is variable, usually pasta, or chicken, but sometimes only scrambled egg on toast.
I don't snack between meals, everyone comments on how little I eat, I rarely feel hungry, BUT I'M PUTTING ON WEIGHT NOT LOSING IT!!!
Admittedly my exercise regime is limited! Although I'm getting a bike soon and hope to cycle to and from work at least twice a week (4 miles each way).
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do to lose about 2 stone???
All replies gratefully received. I suspect more exercise is required but I hate getting hot and sweaty!!
Sorry for rambling!
Hi Sread - have you ever been tested for an underactive thyroid?
I'm not a doctor, but it seems to me that your calorie intake is quite low, so even if you're not doing any exercise, your normal day to day activity should keep your weight steady.
Doing some exercise would probably help, but you don't need to get hot and sweaty - get a pedometer and aim to do 10,000 steps each day. Cycling to work would be good too.
Have a look at this website - you can find out how many calories you need to maintain your current body weight, and you can also find out your ideal weight range. http://www.freedieting.com/tools/ideal_body_weight.htm
Hope that helps.
