Thanks Victory - How did the bike ride/neighbourhood challenge go?
Mirry - going on the pill may have something to do with you weight gain but it is likely to be fluid retention. If you drink lots of water and eat lots of fruit it should help with this. I'm considering going back on the pill again as I am convinced the coil is playing havoc with my weight loss and general well being.0 -

Aw... don't be fed up... I think you should think positively and be pleased with yourself.....
......... you ate really sensibly yesterday and have decided to eat the ice cream today.....
Enjoy the icecream and move on. I have always found that if I 'choose' to eat 'off plan', I eat far less of it and get back 'on plan' if I have made a concious decision to have it. By doing that, I am still being positive and 'in control'. If I think about it as bad or cheating, I end up being 'off plan' for longer. IYSWIM
Perhaps we should ban negative words for a week and see if it makes any difference to our motivation.
OK, I'm choosing to go back to my wallpapper stripping. How many more rooms can there possibly be:rolleyes: ?0 -

Thanks Victory - How did the bike ride/neighbourhood challenge go?
Great thanks but it has proved to me that I am useless at maths:D
I gathered the clan and went out at 9.30 for 45 mins but somehow got it into my head that I had to be back at 10.45 which to me was 45 mins:rotfl: :rotfl:
My legs are sore and my bottom hurts and now I realise that I could have stopped at 10.15 not 10.45 for my 45 mins but hey I have 2 days worth in one:rotfl: :rotfl:
I was going to say to all those on the calorie counting my nutritionalist said aim for 250 for breakfast and lunch, 500 for dinner and 2 times 100 calories for the snacks total 1,200.
Also try food conversion, look at the WW mags they food convert as in you could have more food if you choose wisely on the calories like the WW mag says for example wensleydale cheese and 2 oatcake crackers can be swapped for apple and white shloer, cherry tomatoes and 3 crisp bread with WW 2 low fat cheese triangles. Or a pork farm sausage roll can be swapped for a ginsters chicken tikka sandwich and a bag of penn state pretzels.
Keep looking at what you eat and what you can exchange it for.
Each snack should not be more than 100 calories a time, I swapped my wholemeal nimble bread for 3 crackers and a sugar free jelly-total 98 calories.
It is all in the eye-visually it is more
Well done slowlyfading way to go !!0 -
[QUOTE=lottyxx;4857159When_its_my_time_of_the_month_i_am_always_more_hungry_and_likely_to_eat_something_sweet...why_is_that?[/QUOTE]
It is due to your homones, the nutritionalist says you should graze on freshly prepared foods like all the salads stuff, slices of peppers, muti-grain ryvita crackers, nuts high in potassium, stay away from the sweet stuff as that makes it escalate and that is the crisis point:D
Wholemeal bread the one with the seeds in is also good for neutralizing the hormones....0 -
:rotfl: at you Victory - at least you can say you are well exercised today :rotfl: Sore legs and bum are a good sign - as in no pain, no gain
Here's a thought for some discussion - I was thinking earlier about what it was like when I didnt have to worry about my weight..When I was slim and size 8 (granted this was pre children), I didnt watch what I ate, never weighed myself and didnt really worry about whether I was eating low fat foods or not. I ate what I wanted to eat, when I wanted to eat and generally stayed the same size. How come now that I am thinking about every mouthful that passes my lips, conscious about buying low fat foods etc I am heavier and overweightAre low fat foods and diets making me overweight :rotfl: Is this just "life"? If so, I want to go back to not worrying about what I am eating and being slim :rotfl:
