....back to business...Lois I did my normal weigh in today and have lost 0.8lb I'm a bit miffed with this as I wanted a 1lb loss to take me into single figures but at least I didn't gain. Would you prefer that I post my weight stuff on Wednesdays? Like I said above I'm a creature of habit:D

Hi Petrichor - no problem with continuing to post on Mondays :D

Hi Folks, Welcome to a new thread

It's hard to believe that we have chatted our way onto Lose weight 11 already. Think of the weight we have lost between then and now :rotfl:

This thread is does just as it says on the tin - we are all here with the one aim - to lose weight. There are no rules and no weekly fees :money: The only requirement is that you want to lose weight. You don't have to be following a specific weight loss plan. If its motivation, tips, recipes, encouragement or even a big boot up the backside - we can do all of that here. So why not pull up a seat and join us?

You'll find information on Lois Lane's 2lb Weight Loss club here and the weekly results chart, including Slimmer of the Week HERE

For ideas on low fat recipes, that include WW and SW recipes have a look at our RECIPE COLLECTION and please do keep adding to it!

There are always monthly challenges so be sure to join in. It's all fun so dont worry if you don't make it.

And finally, for all of you who need that little kick up the backside to get you back on track here it is

I can't read the weight loss chart - can anyone tell me how to make it bigger coz I don't own a magnifying glass

Happy to report a 2.5 pound weight loss this week! :j :j

I was a little worried since the gym was closed on Good Friday and I tend to be a bit of a couch potato when I am not there!:o

    But I am really pleased!

Good luck to everyone this week and a big welcome to our new friends on the thread.

Well done Marion - half way to your May challenge already!! :T

    Hi Rachel

I'm pretty sure Quorn sausages aren't free I think they're at least 1 or 2 sins each depending on the size - I'm not sure coz it's a while since I last did the SW diet.

Quorn sausages used to be 1 syn each, but they are completely free on Red and Green days now.

I don't wanna rock the boat here coz I'm sure it works for many but talk of certain foods being sins etc just doesn't sound right to me!

Does it work for people long term? It just sounds like 'a diet' which in my opinion is the wrong way of looking at it. People just need to retrain themselves. Diets are for a set time aren't they? So what do you do after the diet plan? Go back to how you were and start putting the pounds back on. Or should you change your diet so that you can still eat things you like but in moderation? :undecided

Sorry if it seems like I'm belittling peoples efforts, I'm honestly not. I just think it's why so many 'diets' fail!

Hi SS - syns are a Slimming World term, they're a way to include limited treats into the daily intake. Slimming World works - and the reason it works is because it isn't a diet, it's a lifestyle. People who lose weight on SW are encouraged to continue eating in the same way once they get to their target weight, rather than going back to eating the foods that made them fat.

By the way - I am speaking from experience, having lost 6.5 stones myself by following the SW plan (in 18 months).

    Hi Mics_chick

I'm sure there's a way to enlarge what you see on the screen, but I don't know how to do it, maybe someone else can help with that one. I'll try to make it bigger this week.
