Lose Weight 11

Hi people, Im absolutely desperate to loose weight cos all my summer clothes are too small for me now. I have started following the sw method and was in the shop looking at the muller light "layers" yogurts, they say they are virtually fat free but I dont know what the syn value is ,I have the old food directory.
As for Paul mckennas method, I got the cd in January and have put on 9lb since !!! His method didnt work for me at all but I may combine his method with the slimming world diet.
Thanks and happy slimming.Kindness costs nothing0 -
I lost 1lb in my first week - hopefully i can get that half a stone off soon!I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something0

I have come up with a plan (still in the making!) to go 2 lb below the stone number and play with those 2 lb's as in when all the weight has gone those 2 lb's are my 'cut back you have put the 2 lb on warning' so never let it go over, the 2 lb buffer zone:D
Victory- this is similar to when you get to target with SW. You are allowed to go 3lb above or below your target weight - like a buffer zone. That way it allows for some flexibility/slacking. If you go 3lb above or under you have to start paying again. Consultant will correct me on this if I am wrong. Welcome back Connie - did you have a good holiday? I don't suppose you saw my brother on his knee in Central park proposing to his girlfriend:T Another wedding
On a sadder note I had a call from my friend this morning to tell me that the sister of one of my SW buddies (who also goes to SW with us) died yesterday, aged 24 of a suspected heart attack. Has given me shivers down my back thinking about it and I can't begin to imagine what her family are going through. This is the 2nd "sudden" death I have heard of in the past 2 days and TBH its really shaken me - its given me the boost to lose weight and get healthy and get myself out of the at risk zone (not that I am but I am overweight) adn to live for today - whats the point in putting things off until another day when they may never come.
So for all of you who are saying I'm going to start that diet tomorrow, be good tomorrow, start day one tomorrow - DONT - start it today. Please.
Sorry for being so maudlin - I promise to be in better mood later - bro and future SIL are home today so off for a family gathering!0 -
Mirry - Muller layers are 1 1/2 syns. The yogurt ones with cake pieces in 1/2 to 1 syn and the others are free. Enjoy.0

hi rach, i tried Paul mckenna a while back and didnt find it very good (sorry!) i found it very time consuming you had to listen to the cd for half an hour each day and although really relaxing i just didn't have the time, i kept getting disturbed by my little ppl "mum can i have a drink/hes just hit me etc.." But i guess its just horses for courses what suites one person doesn't suite another. I have tried sw and ww found slimming world good and i had a good weight loss but found it hard to maintain. Weight watchers is fab but i dont really like looking at food and thinking have i enough points for that? If i cant have it ill want it all the more!! So here i am and i've decided the only way im goin to looser it and stick with it is to eat three meals a day with two small friut snacks a day. If i fancy chips or chocolate i will have it in small amounts, i've lost count of the amount of last suppers i've had with another diet starting tmorro.
So today will be a challenge i'm going for a chinese meal for my sisters birthday so this will be my main meal today.
For breakfast; 2 weetabix with banna and pure oj
for lunch; chinese
for tea; ww bread with half a can of beans
Have a good day everyone will pop back later love sharronSometimes your the dog, and sometimes your the lampost..:p0 -

Just been to get weighed at boots and I have lost 1/2 pound, words can't express how devastated I am, I am sitting here crying (big woosh ) after all the restraint of the long weekend and carrying my dinner around with me, eating as I normally do and drinking lots of water, all the same stuff I have been doing for months without wavering once however many chips I saw and I loose 1/2 pound-gutted does not come close to it.
9 lb still to go, BMI 26.6, nothing else to say.0 -
Victory - It was half a pound off, not on so you know that is a good thing. You have done so well that a small loss most of us would be grateful for seems insignificant. Now you are close to your target BMI it will be hard and slow - so first off :grouphug: to make you feel better, :j for the weight loss and keep up the hard work. x0
