Happy to report a 2.5 pound weight loss this week! :j :j

I was a little worried since the gym was closed on Good Friday and I tend to be a bit of a couch potato when I am not there!:o

    But I am really pleased!

Good luck to everyone this week and a big welcome to our new friends on the thread.

    Hi all.

Back from my holidays - had a wonderful time but ate far too much. I have 12 weeks now before my daughter's wedding and the suit is 2 sizes too small, so I'm going to need all the help and support I know you can give.

Feeling absolutely crackered and in need of lots of sleep, so may be a bit lax at joining in for a day or two. Please bear with me and I hope to be my gobby self asap :D
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Hi kat

No sooner said than done - have this for being so naughty 9c6b878671.gif

At least you only dream of your mum joining this thread, my DD used to read through LW until I gave her one of these 0683d67184.gifI don't think she's bothered since :rotfl:

That risotto sounds great, so simple but tasty. It has been copied to my file for future usage. :T

Lol thanks pertrichor, i deserved that!!

Glad the recipe was useful, it's one of my faves when theres nothing in the house as you can sling in any old bits of meat or veg u have around (peas and sweetcorn are my fave tho)

Consultant Glad to see you had a good time!! Get lots of rest and hope to see you back into the fighting spirit soon!!

well done on your loss retired lady!!

And Loopy Loo - i saw the mr bean film too, had me in stiches!! it's good to see such old gags are still hilarious too (like the bit in the restaurant, was just like one of the old episodes!)

    Hi,
thought I'd already put my name on this - Doh!

Anyway, today will be day 2 of the new me (NOT!)
Been for 1 hr walk this morning - bit colder here in the North today, sun not out yet. May encourage me to finally do my ironing - at least I can't eat with an iron in my hand:confused:

Am planning a fry up type lunch - just me here today - Quorn sausages, tomotoes, mushrooms, beans, maybe syn free chips. All free foods as far as I can tell so will feel very virtuous!

Its a pity you can't gain syns by exercise like you can earn points with WW!

Keep up the good work everyone - Easter is officially over in my house as far as chocolate is concerned (i.e. there's none left!)

    R xx

    PS Welcome Ishtar!!

    Hi Rachel

I'm pretty sure Quorn sausages aren't free I think they're at least 1 or 2 sins each depending on the size - I'm not sure coz it's a while since I last did the SW diet.

    Cheers MC

PS My mum always called a "healthy" fry-up type meal a Grill-Up!!!! :D

If you re-read my thread it clearly says 5lb a month!

    :p;)

Yeah! It does now you gone back and editted it... :naughty: but if you look in the message I pointed this out I've quoted the ORIGINAL version of your post where it says "5lbs per week" so it's there for all to see :rotfl:

Nice try but it didn't work :p:D MC

    Me too! Me too! :D

I was a bit miffed about the OS diet thread being merged to begin with but then the whole point is me losing weight and I think the whole of MSE is a friendly bunch so I don't understand why anyone would have a problem with you lot coz you're as nutty as everyone else on here, aren't ya? :rotfl:

PS I won't actually be starting till Wednesday coz I gotta go to my Mum's to get weighed (my scales need batteries :o I must've worn them out ;)) and I need a day to get organised using food up and doing a big shop to get other stuff in :D

I don't wanna rock the boat here coz I'm sure it works for many but talk of certain foods being sins etc just doesn't sound right to me!

Does it work for people long term? It just sounds like 'a diet' which in my opinion is the wrong way of looking at it. People just need to retrain themselves. Diets are for a set time aren't they? So what do you do after the diet plan? Go back to how you were and start putting the pounds back on. Or should you change your diet so that you can still eat things you like but in moderation? :undecided

Sorry if it seems like I'm belittling peoples efforts, I'm honestly not. I just think it's why so many 'diets' fail!
