Same here some days as the arthritis does not let me walk but the other good days I try desperately hard to make up for it but cutting right back on the food has still given me a 4 lb or 3 lb per week weight loss so yes it would be a lot faster (time wise) to incorporate both but it still works as I am proof so no more food for you:rotfl: :rotfl: oh, alright then a little, very little:D

That's excellent weight loss without exercise to back it up. As for letting me eat, very kind of you!:j

Just a note to say a Big Big Thank you for the POTM nomination from petrichor which was seconded by Honey and Lois :)

It was an expected pleasure to be nominated, and although I didnt win (B&Q kitchen doors for £1 did!) I would like to thank you for taking the time to think of me and my post.

Perhaps we can make it a sticky instead ;)

just a quickie, school holidays are not good for diets, (or healthy eating plans)
Both DS's grounded which makes things even harder as oldest is also practicing teenage tantrums...

Tried to be good, but if I maintain this week I will be happy.

Well done to the losers, tough luck Suggs but at least you know why!!!
It's got to be worth it once in a while...

    Hi Everyone:hello:

Just managed to catch up with all the posts, what a lot of wise words and encouragement, great stuff :T

I'm pleased to say that at the end of week twelve I have lost 1.6 lbs    and as I've said before I have all of you to thank :A because without you I would not be doing so well. I was so pleased with myself that I went and had my hair restyled (haven't had it cut for over a year) into a 'curved bob'

Well done lotty (3lbs :j ) and hazzie (5lbs :j ) puddings and freebie :j all in the right direction and TallGirl 'well done' for not gaining this week.

Marion You certainly seem to have found the right answer in how to deal with things when you go away, and to lose 2lbs too!! Well done!!

Suggs Don't worry about the gain, just think what it could have been if you hadn't been to the gym and the fact that you had a good weekend away is a good tonic for the mind.

Welcome to jab17 you are so lucky to have good support in your partner and friend (even though she is a size 10 :D ) Keep with us here, we are a decent bunch.

Victory I didn't realise that you had arthritis, I was impressed with your losses before but to do it without being able to excercise fully, well, I don't know what to say but you have the strongest willower of anyone I know.

karren How you manage to works shifts and lose weight  Keep it up.

Hope I haven't missed anyone but if so  and Good Luck to those of you still to be weighed.

    xxxx

Just spotted this. I wish I was a bloke so I could nip over to our local B&Q and p*** through their letter box :rotfl: :rotfl:

Never mind. I agree with making it a sticky though.

    Emma,
    Some ideas for your lunches:

_ jacket spuds as mentioned above. You can bring in the fillings in tupperware containers seperately
    - homemade potato salad
    - pasta/rice in containers and then reheat/eat cold
    - fried rice in containers
    - salads
    - homemade soups
    - homemade baked omelette (ie quiche without the crust)
    - fruit salad
    - homemade hummus and veggie sticks for dipping

If you need recipes we can direct you to them!
