Since Lois had changed the chart date to Wed I will do the same this week. I will try and have it updated and posted by 9pm-ish to allow those who weigh in on Wednesday evening to post their results.0

You are all seeming to do very well - so well done all you losers :T :T
I maintained this week, but quite pleased with that as I've not been too good with a cold which beggered my eating plan to heck - hungry one minute, not the next, then feeling sick and when eating feeling a need to go to the loo immediately:o Then it was DD1 b,day at weekend so went out to celebrate
So onwards and downwards for this next week! My consultant is on hol over easter so must be very good for 2 weeks till next 'proper' weigh in - it's gonna be hard with all the easter eggs around:eek:
Starting to do some exercising which should help. Don't go to a gym so have decided to do sit ups and bottom 'walks' across the room each morning. Will try to get up early enough to have time to walk to work as weather report seems to be good for rest of this week. What sort of exercises do you do at home? How much is good for a starter? I did 10 sit ups and 2 'walks' across bedroom floor (large room) I plan to tone my tummy and bottom with that, should I be doing anything else?
This is a great motivational thread - although I can only get on here now and then - I love to hear all your success stories, or otherwise, as you are all so honest in your determination to do well, so good luck to you all, and thanks for your help."It is always the best policy to speak the truth-unless, of course, you are an exceptionally good liar." - Jerome K Jerome0 -

I`m also interested in what exercise people do apart from the gym,and those who go to the gym what would you do if your gym burnt down tonight?

I don't know the real name but I 'walk' on my bottom with my legs out straight and holding arms out in front, keeping your back straight. You sort of walk from one cheek to the other moving forward whilst stretching out with your hands. It's supposedly very good for your bottom and thighs - plus I find that it helps the tummy and arms too as you've to keep them taut to help you move. It's the best way I can describe it - hope it helps!
I was once a member of a local gym and joined when they were fairly new on a good deal - 3 years but pay for 2. After 1 year they were bought out I hadn't been for a while but thought I'd better start again and I was asked for my original papers so that they could update the members list - and they 'lost' it all. I ended up losing out to them as although they said as a good will gesture, would honour my using the gym, I had to pay for any extra classes which was included in my original plan.
Never been interested since then - I didn't really use it to it's full potential really - they've had enough money from me!"It is always the best policy to speak the truth-unless, of course, you are an exceptionally good liar." - Jerome K Jerome0 -
Thanks for your suggestions - I ended up having a jkt with beans bought from the canteen - probably the best option available to me.
What I really wanted to know is what can I buy from shops for lunch if I've not managed to make anything at home. I spoke to my s/w friend and have been shopping for the following to keep at work just in case:
tin of baked beans - could either have on toast or buy a plain jkt
mug shot - free on green
batchelors low fat noodles - also free on green
ryvita minis - healthy extra on green
tin of lentil & chickpea dhal from asda (also free on green).
Obviously I prefer to have something home made but having these will make life easier on the occasions I'm not so organised!!
Have a lovely big tub of rice & tuna salad for lunch today soo much nicer than bought food!!:T0 -

I go to a gym but really do a mixture of gym and non gym activities. I walk for 40 mins 3 or 4 days a week (park car further from work), do yoga in my bedroom for 15 - 30 mins a day. At the gym I go to yoga twice a week, hulaerobics once or twice a week and RPM usually once a week.
I reckon I might join a new gym if mine burnt down - it really motivates me exercising with other people. Saying that I could buy myself a hula hoop and do yoga on my own so will have to really think about it when my commited memberships up!
1sttimer - sounds like you have the right idea combining walking with exercises at home. Would suggest doing a few press ups too if you have time - start off doing them on your knees. Anything that builds your muscles will help to speed up your metabolism and give you a better shape!! Could you do your exercises morning and night as well - that way you're doing double the work!!0 -

Check out your book and see the 'grab & go' section for Baxters soups - the Ministrone with wholemeal pasta is free on green for the whole tin - and only the noodle mug shots are free - pasta ones are synable, if only low. But do as you've done for today - make extra for evening meal and have that following day for lunch - or keep it in fridge for day after so that you don't have same 2 days running. Freeze individual portions and take out night before/early morning for dinners.
I've done quorn chill in SC for tea and will cook rice when I get home then have leftovers for Thursday dinner. If I cook rice/pasta, I usually double what they suggest and add a tin of mixed beans or the heinz flavoured beans with it for lunch next day which makes it slightly different.
I also keep a drawer of mug shots/soup/ryvitas at work and use them as and when I need to. I also have a bowl of fruit on my desk and chopped carrots/turnips/celery in works fridge. All I need to do then is get some LF cottage cheese or take an A choice of laughing cow cheese and lunch is sorted with very little effort. I don't have a canteen at work so I don't have a choice but to take my own food in (unless I go to local shop where they do fry-up sarnies  )
Keep up the good work you seem to be doing well and you will get there if you follow the plan!:T"It is always the best policy to speak the truth-unless, of course, you are an exceptionally good liar." - Jerome K Jerome0
