I know it's a BH but couldn't stay in bed.
Glad to see you back madauri and that you've continued to lose weight in the meantime :T
A bigwelshgirlmel You sound as if you hit the ground running :T and will be able to give some help to us here as well!! 6lbs by the end of May should be a doddle for you, so keep that size 10 in your mind.

Right thriftykatie you asked for it, this is not for the faint hearted!!! I don't think a smacked bottom will do and that you are in need of the ultimate. You will need at a least long length mirror (preferably full length). When you next get undressed turn your back to the mirror, bend over and look back (somewhat like thisbut keep your legs straight) if you're anything like me it will be  ...You don't want that someone to see that do you??? Good luck with him, but be a little cool and aloof ie don't appear tooooo eager
Oh! and a maintain is better than a gain
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

Morning,
Well, Yesterday was totally cxxp. After my "weigh in " i totally slobbed out:eek: .
I weighed today(i know , need a kick up the bum), and erm, the 2lb has "left the building"!!
Anyway, new day for me, might do a red one, i ALWAYS do a food diary, and i drink loads of sugar free squash, so don't know what happened there, really got a fright.
Welcome to other "newbies" and good luck with everyones weight loss!

Hi, weighed myself today for my 1st week, I've lost 6lb:j :j Not sure how I managed that with going out twice, but I'm not complaining. Now I've just got to keep up the good work, today's job is to work out a menu for the week (popping to the shops isn't easy when you live in the sticks!)0

I am thrilled to report a 5 lb weight loss this morning:j  :j
!
I had hoped to maintain as I knew I had been pretty good whilst I was away but I didn't really expect to lose, so I am a very happy bunny this morning.:j Of course this is over 2 weeks.
Still have a rotten cough though so think I will pop down to the gym and have a steam sauna and see if that helps any.
Good luck to everyone in their weigh ins this week!:A

Hi
I'm sorry I haven't read too much of this thread as it's a monster and I have a toddler and a newborn to keep me busy, but what I've seen has very much impressed me. I'll try to look over some more of it later too.
Someone suggested Slimming World. I'd be grateful if someone could point me in the direction of some info on how exactly it works? I had a look at their site and it all sounded a bit vague. Not sure if I was looking in the wrong section.
I have lost a lot of weight once before (after my first was born) but want to get it moving quicker this time as I have more to lose and other health problems that my weight might be contributing to. I've just over 3 stone to lose ideally, but I'd be happy with 2 and a half. (I gained a LOT during both pregnancies as I was restricted to bed most of the way through both pregnancies.)
I'm veggie and breastfeeding and cook everything from scratch. Nothing is ever exactly the same when I cook it again as I use up what I have in and am pretty much a bung it in and hope for the best kind of cook so calorie counting is difficult to say the least. And not up to really burning the calories for health reasons. Anyone with any ideas to help me along would be very gratefully listenened to.
Thank you.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
Gingham if you cook everything from scratch calorie counting may be suitable but you must weigh the ingredients. It does take some effort but arent you worth it to lose the weight
Personally I have found weightlossresources good as it has a very large database of foods and you can add food items to it if you have the nutitional info on the packet. It also has an exercise database and is good for showing a direct link to calories burned and calories eaten., i.e. if you walk moderately for an hour a day it is 268 calories burned. This gives you the option of eating more or not - its up to you. It works out £10 a month and also has a good supportive forum aspect too. Oh and you can also have a free trial for three days!

Just thought i`d just say you should probably check with the health visitor if you are breastfeeding and thinking of going on a diet.0
