What a grey afternoon, hope you've had better where you are.

    :T Well done Malima :T
and jojilufc :T but, for spoiling things you can also have one of these dqirprb.gif"Thornton's misshapes misshape people" just keep repeating that until you learn it by heart, it was only because you lost 1lb that saved you from the smacked bottom. Really!!!Whatever were you thinking of????

beanie sweetheart, you never do anything miserably, you couldn't be miserable if you tried (now me, that's different!!) all you did was not quite reach the target*. So chin up for the weekend.......

........which, silly me, I've only just realised that is a Bank Holiday weekend 11lc0lp.gif

I've also realised that the next challenge only has three weigh-ins which is 1.6lbs, 1.7lbs and 1.7lbs each time; for the Victorys' of the world this is easypeasy but for mere petrichoreans

    xxxx

*Edit Thought of this during the night (yeah I know:o) because this challenge started late due to Easter and doesn't finish until the 9th you still have one more WI :DMeanwhile back on planet Petrichore....
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

    Hi Malima

Not sure I'm the most qualified at present to answer your question (if you've been following the thread you may have noticed I've not been on track since I came back from my hols a few weeks ago. Been kidding myself can stay as I am for a while as I look slimmer as I have a tan! Anway, bought lots of healthy stuff today, and tonight have eaten all the naughties in the house (well it would have been wasteful to throw them away) and day one tomorrow and back to the gym.

Anyway, back to your question.... In the past I have found that at around a stone weight loss I have gone down a dress size. However, having said that it has always seemed that the weight loss wasn't showing and then literally overnight it seemed to show (not kidding on this and sure I'm not the only one who has experienced this). It has always been the case with me that people haven't noticed any change then all of a sudden people start to comment.

We are all different and so it may be that your loss is off places that are not so obvious in your clothes - perhaps your face is slimming down or the tops of your arms or thighs.

You're obviously doing well and staying on track (wish I was   ) so keep at it and wait for the compliments to flow and the dress size to shrink. It will happen.
Proud to be dealing with my debts

    Thanks Katie,
Well, i have looked and looked, and i can't find anywhere that has slimmed down:confused: , probably because i'm a lazy cow and don't excercise:j .
I absolutely HATE the gym, and walking, and jogging......you get my drift..
I hope there are people here who have lost weight with just diet alone! I need to know!!!!
    Anyway thanks for the reply.
    Good luck on your diet.

malima you can do it with diet alone but it takes much longer and the feelings of getting disheartened take their toll and you could want to give up, you see exercise burns the calories, diet alone is calories in and nothing to burn them off with so it is a harder way....

I was not too partial to exercise, certainly not a gym convert but took to walking everwhere and in time also took up cycling just around the estate for a little one and then upped it to an hour, all the kids would go round and round with me and it turned out to be fun:j

I noticed that I did not think so much about food, that I lost more weight than just with dieting alone and also in the end it was fun:D

The exercise does not have to be major to have an impact but it does help the weight loss considerably....

    Hi Malima

I'm similar to both thrifty and Victory.

Like thrifty, I found the weight loss just seemed to be noticed all of a sudden, then it appeared to stay the same for a while, and then I tried some different clothes on that I hadn't dare to go near for ages(2 years actually), and Hey!! they fit with no straining.

As Victory says, with dieting alone it does take longer, so even if you hate exercise, just try walking more for a start. Exercise encourages the release of endorphins which are the body's natural 'feel good' hormone (amongst other things), so it may give you a more positive attitude to doing more of it :D
It still creases me to think of Victory "racing" with the 6 year olds.

Hope everyone has a good weekend

    Ok guys!
you sold me on it, i will go walking round my estate, and see if it will give my weight loss a wee boost, this time round i will NOT give up, i have been on too many diets in my lifetime, i have given myself a target of 1lb a week, and i am giving myself till October to lose 26lbs.

Well I'm off for the weekend (nowhere exciting - Gravesend) so I won't be weighing in Monday. I am tempted to weigh myself at my mother in laws as I'm always about a stone lighter on her scales. :)

Have a great weekend everyone. Shame we didn't get to keep the lovely weather but hope you all enjoy yourselves.
