Hi all
Here's the chart for this week.
Well done Victory - another monthly target achieved early :j and well done Wardy, Slimmer of the Week :T .
Have a good week everyone
LL
Thank you so much - you've just made my day - I've never been slimmer of the week - not even when I did Slimming World:j0 -
I was reading a book about dieting (yes again:D , I got 6 of them from the library;) ) anyway there is an article in there on cravings and it says that dieters crumble when they think they need such and such food when actually if you logically look at it it is only one thing they crave i.e......if your mind can only see a cooked breakfast of bacon, eggs, fried bread, toast, mushrooms, tomatoes etc it is not all of it you crave.....think harder what if you were offered it all would just one thing satisfy you and for you to feel that is the one most thing you would want? For me the choice would be bacon,
keep the rest (this also is supposed to keep the calories in check as if you only choose the one item that you think you need the most the calorie damage is not so large);)
Or if you go to a buffet, it is not the sausages, meats, potatoes, salads, etc, not absolutely everything on that table you crave and cannot resist, so if you had one choice what would it be? Mine would be my SIL gammon slices as they are divine...:p or fish and chips, yes they go together, yes they are delicious but one of them I would choose the chips hands down and the fish could stay in the shop....:D
I guess it seems like a good idea to try anyway but it also reminds me of the 80/20 that the fat doctor works with or the 90/10 that Gillian does, or the eat in moderation, don't pig out, you don't need it all, those kind of things, I don't think it is intended for one items like what if you crave a piece of choc? or a packet of crisps? because you can't use the system them, it is more if you are confronted with a wide range of foods , make the choice of the one that you really really want....
Oh these dietitians would you not love to be one of them and have all their money for coming up with another angle to this weight loss lark?:rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
I cant see the chart either.Debt Free Date:10/09/2007 :j :money:0

Well done dawny :T and loopy-loo :T Great losses, keep it up.
Thanks for the calorie guide Lois, looks as if I will need to either increase my execise  or reduce my intake, no competition there :rotfl:LilMissEmmyLou and bobble_hat Hope you stay with us and manage to get rid of those excess lbs, the time will soon fly and you will be mere shadows of your former selves :j
Suggs good for you for giving it to that director, I don't have the way with words that Victory has, (I'm far too much of a lady in this case :rotfl: but I do agree with her, and you could do thisas well). Speaking of ........
Victory Wise words again, and it got me thinking (yeah I Know) There have been various posts over the time that I've been here that are worthy of referring to much in the same way as we have the recipe thread link in the first post of each new thread. I'm thinking of the ones where people given advice on motivation, how to deal with the munchies, etc etc, and it seems a shame that these aren't given a permanent place so that we can refer to them as necessary. Does anyone agree with me?
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

Yes, I agree with you:D I was thinking the other day that sometimes people ask the same questions and the answers are there but they get lost so when a newbie comes and asks it has to answered again.... if there was a reference they could go to that specific question it would cut a lot out.... definetly something to look at, just like the recipes as you say...0 -
Since you both speak most of the wise words and give out all the good advice I nominate you both to sort it :rotfl:0

Hi all
I'm having real problems with food atm, in that I just want to eat. Today I've had fruit for breakfast, pasta and tomato sauce for lunch, green tea and a *PEANUT BUTTER KITKAT*. I've developed a really bad sweet tooth, and if I'm not careful, I'll eat a few choccy biscuits when I get home too. I have a bag of unsalted mixed nuts in my desk at work, which I find really good to nibble on, but they're sooo high calorie. Anyway, winge out of the way - will get back to drinking water and trying to distract myself, though am going to drink more green tea tonight in an effort to cleanse my inner body!BCSC Member 70:j
