  • Well like lots of others became a bit confused with all these new posters - thought the jet lag had really got to me! Anyway, had a quick glance through the posts but still a bit bemused (doesn't take much at the moment!)However, I am sure we will soon get used to all the strangers (who I hope will stick around and become friends - welcome to you all).

Well done losers and maintainers and better luck next time to the gainers. I've not been too bad since Sunday and hope that this week I will lose most of the 4lbs gained on holiday. However, went to a boring conference yesterday and I bumped into a friend there so we went for retail therapy afterwards and then to Covent Garden for a glass of wine. Well surprise surprise one glass became a bottle and rather alot of nibbles (chicken goujons, chips, brie, musrooms in breadcrumbs with aioli....). Really enjoyed it but struggled this morning on the treadmill but managed 500 calories on a combination of treadmill and cross trainer.

Had a couple of squares of dark choc this evening as I have decided that if I have a good day and follow my healthy eating rules I will let myself have a couple of squares of choc or a glass of wine as a treat. Only thing is, I had my treat a little early and fancy another now. Coming on here is a means of trying to take my mind off things (for things read eating/drinking!)

Right, got some work to do so having got some of my motivation back - thanks all - I'd better get on with it.
Proud to be dealing with my debts

Hi Katmad - try this site - I don't count calories myself, but it appears to have what you need.

  • oh can i join this please? have 2 stone of baby weight to get rid of so want to ditch 24lbs to bring me down to 9stone 4 (or perhaps a little more if i can, but ive never weighed less than 9st 2). 2lbs a week sounds ideal as its hard to fit exercise in around the baby and house work

    Hi everyone,

Thanks for the warm welcome, you're not scary at all :D.

Could you add me to the regular weigh-in chart thing please? I did really well before Christmas but have slowed down again. I'm off to the Isle of Wight Festival in June and want to enjoy without feeling blobby.

I'm attempting to lose 2lb a week. I did it last week despite a sausage sandwich every day!

    Thanks Bobbly x

thanks so much for the link lois (i have found a few similar sites in the past via google search but this one looks better than most)
and thanks for the advice too.

I am doing a food diary so i can see my worst and best habits. it seems the afternoon munchies are my worst downfall (2 slices white toast with sunflower spread this afternoon - was worse than normal as we had no wholemeal bread left!:o )

Apart from that i am doing well and feeling good. I did 100 sit ups this evening and some press ups and squats to boost my mood so i wouldnt snack this evening (made one glass of wine last two hours of TV!! much better than munching on stuff that will make me feel bad)

I am doing quite well one the cooking front, adding loads of veg to meals and most of my usual recipes are low fat now after some tweaking. for instance i did tomato and vegetable pasta bake tonight, which a year ago would have been a creamy sauce out of a jar full of salt/sugar. Today's was literally just tinned toms and a bit of water, with mushrooms, spring onion and courgette bits, and less pasta than i used to use as the veg bulks it out so much!!

So my aims are 1) eat little and often 2) eat low fat and low cal (aim 1300 - 1600 per day, some days high and some days low to mix it up and keep me from giving up!) and 3) do as much exercise as i can fit in around my revision.

Still feeling positive!!!!:D Sorry this post is so long, i cant 'alf ramble on!!!!:o

Hope everyone's having a good week xx
