Oh my goodness that was very confusing!! thought i'd pressed the wrong button or something!
Welcome to any DFW slimmers who decide to stay with us!

Lois please can u put me down as maintained this week.
Though i dont know how accurate that is - I went to the sport centre last night (nearly beat OH at squash again!) and forgot to use the scales there!! the ones at home drive me mad as they are digital and there is literally a 1 stone discrepancy depending on where i put them in the house!!
But i certainly dont feel any thinner, and i have only been half-good this week, so a maintain is a safe assumption. been good the last few days and tried to keep to 1500 cals, still finding it tricky though.

I know i've asked this before, but i think the request got lost in all the DFW confusion, but if anyone can reccommed a good online calorie counter with sensible portion sizes i would be really grateful.

Feeling very dismayed that my loss will stay the same on the chart for yet another week. you all do so well it makes me look a bit pathetic!! Fingers crossed that typing my dissertation and revising all this week will keep my hands too busy to pick up any food!! if i havent lost anything by next week i think i might look into SW as my own methods clearly arent working very well and i'm just not strict enough with myself.

Well done all the losers! good luck everyone who has yet to weigh in.

Well I double checked my weight loss last week and TRIPLE checked my weight gain this week – 3 lbs. I know I’ve been singing ‘Erl fell off the wagon and she don’t care’ since Friday night but I didn’t realise I’d fallen so far and I cared last night alright

I have my graduation day confirmed now - 18th of July - and if I stick to the mini targets I should be able to lose a stone.

I have a long list of excuses as to why I don’t lose weight and not one single solid reason!!!

Today I have already had my weetabix with ¼ pt of skimmed milk and sweetner. I also have to hand tomatoes, pickles, apples and mushy peas.

The biggest excuse I have is I’m too disorganised and lazy to prepare my own food. Hubby never eats a meal at night so I would be cooking for one and I can’t be bothered when I get home. Too keen on getting the housework done so that I can sit down and play games. If I can change my priorities and stick to them I should be able to lose a steady 1 lb a week and that’s all I really want.

What’s worse is I don’t have anything in my cupboard that is truly bad – I waste money by having trash delivered to my door! If I do change my habits I can see my poor dog ending up looking like a barrel. I’ll end up putting him on a diet in a couple of months.

Scrap ‘if’ and change it to ‘when’ starting from today. Now if only I can keep this positive attitude up all week^^

Off to catch up on the thread now – 10 pgs unread

Consultant I have about 7lb to go to get to my target, Do I need to cut out ( or reduce) my syns???:o I currently use up to 10 a day, sometimes quite a few less but my weight loss seems to have stopped, or slowed considerably. Is that normal???

    Jo

With only a few pounds to go to your target, I'm afraid you probably will need to cut back on the syns. You should have at least 5 a day, so don't cut them out altogether.

Another thing you might try is to change the pattern of your eating - not only when you eat, but the type of foods.

If you can, try to eat several times a day (instead of just 3 times). 5 or 6 meals a day, using lots of free foods, may get your metabolism roaring. If you've been used to mostly green days, add in a few red and so on.

You could try Success Express or a few Mix2Max days - it all helps to keep your body confused :D

My, what a huge thread we've become!!!! Although I'm not posting as often as I used to, I'm always here if anyone wants help or support, but I think it would be better to pm rather than post here or it may well get missed.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Connie Good to see you here. How are you coping getting back on track after your hoilday? Is it your daughter's wedding soon?

Eriqueen We all have tough times, but now you have a target date (graduation) it should help, you don't want to look at your photo over the years and keep thinking 'If only I'd......'

Well done wardy that is fantastic, excellent:j :j :j

Erl make a list and try to stick to it, I know it can be hard but make a list of the forthcoming weeks food and go and buy that.....make batches up and freeze so that when you just can't be bothered all you have to do is defrost!! Keep well stocked with all the free foods and it can seem less of a restriction because you are still eating but free!!

    I'll second that :D

Now I see why the thread was so long. Welcome to any DFWs that stay but I can understand why some will not. I know this is a big thread but there is also the consideration that this is a big, big forum and there are whole sections of it that I've never ventured into. I wonder how the regular posters of LW would feel it we got moved. I'm guessing I'd be a bit apprehensive at first.

AWWW I missed the opportunity to snuggle Suggs! :kisses3:

Seems from your last post that you're back on an even keel though and it was really bad organisation on the part of your company. A lot of people don't like fitted shirts even if they can wear them - too much restriction.
