Yay my cheque arrived today too!
  • Hi,

Just an update on my case, I received my cheque on Saturday morning after only sending my form back on the 11th September

I have chased them from Day 1 though, when the phone lines were open !

My advice to for anyone waiting is to email every day! Even if you are not getting a response it may push them along!

Although judging by the amount of people who have had cheques in the last few days I wonder if they have caught up on their backlog!
  • Hello

I reclaimed ppi on my egg loan in 2008 but because I topped up my loan twice I think it was actually 3 loans. Each time I topped it up they sent me new forms to sign and I'm sure they added the ppi on again each time. I had 3 different loan references and the one I reclaimed was the last loan I had. I wrote to them to reclaim the other 2 loans and at first I got the letters back saying they were looking into my 2 claims but now they say it was settled in 2008. Does anyone know if this is correct? Would they have paid back all my ppi or should I be able to reclaim the other loans separately? When I took the first loan the box was pre ticked. When I topped it up I did it over the phone and hey quoted me the repayments with the ppi and I tried to remove it but they said I wouldn't be approved without it. At the time I was on a temporary contract so it wouldn't have covered me anyway. I would really appreciate any help on what to do next.

    Thanks

you should be able to claim each loan separately, unless they have already calculated that in your original redress. It should say what the redress is for though, so check whether it was for one loan or all 3

  • Can anyone provide me with an email address....I am still waiting cheque and now cannot access my online account since Yorkshire took over. X
  • I had a claim with Barclays but only had one account number, in their acceptance letter Barclays stated they had to look into all loans in a chain (refinancing or increasing a loan), the offer included interest and compensation on loans related to the one I was claiming on and went back the 2000! Even though you settled these early loans you are entitled to claim on them because the PPI would have been added at the start and you would have paid interest on this amount, good luck and don't give up.

So my original post was me getting very worried that my cheque still hadn't arrived - after being a month late. Fortunately, it arrived this morning.

However, I am still really annoyed that it's been so delayed and I still want to know what action I can take over the interest discrepancy. Am I allowed to claim the difference in interest given the delay in sending me my money?

Thanks for the replies! As it seems I should be able to reclaim the other 2 loans but they have rejected it would you go back to egg and get them to look into it again or is that it now its been rejected and the only way is through the ombudsman?
