• Hi,

I am in the same boat!!

All went smoothly and I sent my letter and questionnaire off and within the eight weeks got a response to say they owed me a large amount of money and to sign the acceptance and I would have a cheque in 10 - 15 days.

I sent the acceptance on the 8th of September, I phoned on the 11th and they said they havent recieved it, despite it being sent recorded delivery and being signed for!! They said it was probably in the "post" room and could be a week or so to reach them. I said this wasnt acceptable as I need the money the OWED me!! She told me to email it her at the cro.supports@egg.com . I did so and phoned up on the 13th and they confirmed it was now on the system and the cheque had been ordered!!

I phoned again on the 20th (just before the phone number became inactive!!!) and they said they were currently processing cheques that were ordered on the 30th / 31st therefore it would be another two weeks before it was processed!!

I tried to ring Monday for an update but the number is inactive!! so have sent and email to the crt.pleaseassist@citi.com , and I will be ringing them and emailing them everyday till somebody pushes it along!!

I am hoping as I started chasing from day 1 instead of after the 15 days were up I should be recieving my money shortly!
• KStanners - it's frustrating to the say the least isn't it!

From your post I now have an alternative email address so I have also sent a message to this.

I have my fingers crossed I actually hear something back from somebody, it would be nice to communicate with an actual person in some way!

Thanks
• Egg wrote to me approx 4 weeks ago, it was them suggesting they had mis sold me my PPI. I sent relevant info back and got offer letter last week. Just hoping it doesnt take forever to get the money back since the rest of the process has been so easy!
• i am having a nightmare with them too. they recieved my letter on 4th september, i have rang 3 times to chase it up and got told last friday there is a back logg so another 2 weeks. have tried calling today and never get an option of speaking to someone. i have just sent an email but don't hold much hope of a reply. does anyone have any other numbers for them?
• Thanks for your replies all. Sad to say that my paperwork accepting the offer was received by egg on aug 11th and is still dragging on now so some of you may need to be resilient. They are a disgrace in every respect and this latest trick shows them up for everything they are. I will definitely be pursuing additional interest and charges for letters and phone calls.
• Hi All
Im in the same boat when it comes to waiting for the cheque. Upheld on the 18th July and sent acceptance letter back to them on the 20th (via recorded delivery) nothing heard back so i called them on the 15th August and was told they had a backlog and my cheque would be with me in a week or 2. Again i waited and still nothing so called them again on the 5th September. Apparently someone had missed a letter out of my surname and they had to reorder my check but it would with me the following week. Came back from holday and still no cheque and now no number to speak to anyone. Looks like a email and see what happens. Quick enough to take the money for the PPI but a age to get it back!!
• I think they have been telling a lot of lies, stalling whilst knowing the phoneline was about to be removed. Its time for collective action. Ideas?

I also spoke to them on that day and was told they were processing from August 23rd on that day. They don't even lie consistently.
• HI All,

I know this has been frustrating, I read the comments here and I was preparing to complain to the email addresses and the the FO

My complaint was registered 29th June, signed the acceptance form and sent it back to them 28th August and I got my Cheque today, 28th September. not here to gloat, maybe I have been lucky but just hoping that this info gives out some hope that the wait is nearly over.

Good Luck with yours
Pinky
• Hi to all those worrying. I must admit I am in shock a little bit. From hearing absolutely nothing at all since middle of August, and following no joy at all on telephones or response via email I have today received my cheque. It must be a promising sign so as a previous poster stated, I am not here to gloat, It just puts minds at rest that money is coming through eventually...

Just another point - the email address I got from an earlier post (cro.supports@egg.com), has taken 24 hours to return my email as 'undeliverable'.

Good luck in chasing them and getting what's owed to you.
