egg ppi cheque time

Why do they write in the correspondence 10-15 days, if they take many more weeks. This causes many people calling them, which presumably is a cost to them. Why don't they simply put a realistic date in and everyone would be happy???0

Many thanks Pepperpot - thought this might be the case my cheque was also sent on the 20th so presume they may be in the same bag

Waiting for a PPI payout can seem like forever. If it goes over the timescale it's understandable to wonder if something has gone wrong. Having some clue as to what the banks have to do before you get your hot little mitts on the dosh can make the waiting more understandable and a teeny bit less frustrating

Received a secure message today confirming that the cheque has now been ordered and will be with me within 10-15 working days. Original acceptance was received by them on 3rd July and has been toing and froing since then. Their offer letter should read that a cheque will be sent 10-15 days after they have played overseas ping pong with it for a month! I will wait and see if it arrives by the end of August

Good luck! Out of interest totally - is your account with egg still open?0

It's a loan that was paid off in 2006. The initial offer came through really quickly about 3 weeks. I was really impressed at first but I've been given the run around ever since I was first told a cheque had been sent on the 16th June! that was before I even knew I had to send an acceptance form.0
