  • Hi all
I am in the same boat :( Egg received my acceptance 16th of July, so my 15 working days is up TODAY :( I emailed through Eggs website and been advised it could be another 15 working days. I am going to write a letter of complaint as they are not adhering to their own company policy! Has anyone hadd their cheque recently in the stated time scale? Thanks
  • Hi All,

I submitted a claim letter to EGG and quickly received a letter to acknowledge they had received my letter and asked me to complete a FOS questionnaire and return it to them. I completeed the form and returned it last Sunday 29/8/12. Hoping I hear some good news soon.
  • Its not just egg, i'm having same problem with citifinancial, 10 - 15 days has passed been on phone twice to be told there is a backlog in ppi dept and that cheques should all be received by end of next week...an extra 8 working days to what was said in letter from them!! Also took 18 days from them receiving paperwork to it being passed to the ppi dept

Anyone had their egg cheque yet?
  • I sent back by acceptance form, signed for by them on 29th June, acknowledged that they received it on 3rd July and told that an order for the cheque had been placed on 11th July, many many phone calls later in which I am being told the cheque is imminent, I still haven't received it. I telephoned today only to be told that for some reason the cheque hasn't been ordered and that I have to wait another 10-15 days! Not a happy bunny at all.

I've just called again (I know I'm waiting theirs and my time)

They confirmed dates last guy told me, checked and said quite a backlog and cheque was in processing and should going out soon. With me next week. I presume this is just stalling tactics :( - 20 days to print and post a cheque?
  • Just read this thread and it sounds like they don't pay out quickly.
I am just at the beggining of this process. Know I had an account with egg and roughly the dates. Haven't got any account details. Any ideas??

I just had one of my account numbers, name, address and reason - that was all.

    Good luck

I sent back my acceptance form to Egg on 12 July and am still waiting. But, I also SARed them in early June and received the documents a few days ago. Amongst it all is a log of the processing of my PPI claim. Although I sent the claim to Derby, all the processing of the investigation into the claim etc appears to have been done in India. I can see that they received my acceptance form and have ordered the cheque on 20 July but it seems to have to go through a lot of checking processes before it's sent out to make sure the claim isn't duplicated etc and going backwards and forwards between India and the UK - hence the wait.
