egg ppi cheque time

Hi,

I put a claim in against egg which was upheld, quite quick only took 3 weeks to get offer letter back. Sent that back on the 13th July and letter said 10-15 days to receive cheque.

I have read a few stories of them not sticking to this 10-15 days and taking much longer.

Anyone have any experience of this?

Cheers

    Thanks peeps.

Thought 10-15 days might be too quick, should I give them until 30 days to chase or after the 15?

Any one have a contact number for them too?

Chase them on the number on your offer letter but be warned they don't usually answer the PPI number! We got through to someone in the mortgage department finally, who kindly gave it a push.

    Many thanks

Tried the number but when you get the ppi option, just tells you they are dealing with it and check the website before disconnecting.

Will try another dept - see if they can help ;)

Phones them today to check they had received the acceptance form

If anyone else need to chase ppi with egg don't select the ppi option rom the list select complaints (3) then loan and mortgage complaints (3) had to wait for an hour and 17 miniutes for them to answer but first thing bloke asked was I it was about ppi - so they must be swamped.

He said acceptance received on 18 went to cheque generation on the 20th and they were waiting for it to go back to be checked before being sent out 1st class.

I had a loan and a credit card with PPI with EGG. I was impressed by EGG's straight forward compensation offer of £5375, for which they promised to post a cheque within ten to 15 working days after receiving my acceptance. I sent my acceptance by recorded mail, which they received on 9 July 2012. 18 working days have past and I have not heard from them and not been able to get through to them (waited for 47 min on the phone before giving up).

I also sent my acceptance letter back on 13 July to EGG. Two phonecalls later and 2 emails later and they say it was passed to the relevant department. It does state on my letter that it'd be 10 - 15 days, but i'm not holding my breath! Just wondering if i'll every get the cheque.

    Nothing received here yet

Took over an hour to get through in the phone.

I'm going to wait til Tuesday the call, this should be 15 working days from when they said they accepted/received it.

Hope yours come through soon too! Keep us posted when they arrive!
