    Hi everyone,

Smokybabe, I have a real soft spot for N Wales. DH and I met at Uni in Bangor and Ds is inhis final year there now - it's changed a lot in the intervening 30 years!!

Hugs to Twink and anyone else who needs them, glad you're feeling better Pen pin.

Congrats to Pen pen's ds football team.

Off to London soon to see Mary Poppins as the second half off my birthday present. It's very cold out there though.

Dreamt last night about my course work which is a sure sign I'm worried about it. I'll have to knuckle down tomorrow.

Afternoon everyone. Just been having a quick read through todays thread. CCstar hugs honey, just ignore those who's comments are not worth reading. Twink, you don't need anyone else to repeat it I am sure, you know you are special to all of us, can't begin to thank you enough for your support on this forum.

Hugs to those who need one today. Penny pass a big hug and a cheer from me to your DS, great news :)

Well Holly seems better today, anti biotics must be kicking in, she is coughing much less and is sleeping a lot, bit more playful too, much to my older dogs disgust as she's been bugging him again.

Mainly housework today for me, DP in a foul mood as he's at work and his taxi is poorly. He's currently managing without 3rd and 4th gear, the clutch is slipping and the turbos making a racket so he's not impressed. No doubt he'll stay at work until he can't drive it any further, has good recovery which covers passengers etc aswell so not too worried.

Must get the boys to do homework at some point as possibly taking them to see TMNT tomorrow, DS been going crackers about it since seeing the adverts in the cinema!

Right best go and get something done, after a mooch on the internet of course. Speak soon :)
One day I might be more organised...........

    Hello all

Haven't posted for ages as I just never seemed to have the time in the mornings and by the evening its too late to say what I'm planning on doing, because I've usually either done it not not got to it. :D

We've had an "interesting" day today, as the boiler threw a fit this morning and we've been without heating and hot water all day.

Having a bath this morning, involved much trooping backwards and forwards with pans of hot water - and even then it was like rolling around in a warm puddle.

Our landlord is in Honduras until April, the man he uses for central heating/gas fitting work has got his answering machine on and hasn't called us back (he's probably on holiday too) and so we're looking at a bit of an uncomfortable few days or so. Hopefully we won't have to wait until April!

So I've spent all day in the kitchen, making bread this morning, then a plum and apple pie with spiced sweet pastry, which was an experiment that worked very nicely indeed. I then made a Shepherd's Pie with stealth lentils (DP and DS hate lentils, but don't always notice them if I'm sneaky), so the kitchen has been warm all day. I'm a bit worried about my parakeets getting cold overnight without heating, but if I wrap their cage up while the kitchen is still warm, (they live in the kitchen), hopefully they'll be insulated!

Anyway, hugs to those who need them, congratulations to the successful footy team and off I go for a sit down. :T
:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:

Hugs to DLB, Twink, CcStar, Csarina and HardupHester

Hope your meeting with w**k went ok Snowy

Great day here. The sun has been splitting the skies and I'm lucky to live in such a beautiful place. I'll try and post some pics later. We went to the Easter Fayre this morning, then off to the beach for a picnic and a spot of rockpooling.

OH is making Dinner for us when girls have gone to bed and we may have a glass or two of wine on the decking if it stays warmish. The views down to the sea are amazing especially if it's a good sunset.

Hope everyone else has had a good Saturday and it just remains to congratulate Pink-Winged on passing the 6000 post mark. _party_ (Chatterbox) ;):D

that would last! I fear if I had that much we'd be eating them for breakfast, lunch and dinner! My mother's kind donation just saves the bf from value cereal for a bit longer!!

Am making a money box now...finished our jar of coffee earlier so cut a hole in the lid and am making a label with some scrap paper and coloured pens, need a coffee jar as the tumbler I was using is just about full!
