Good Morning everyone, the weekend is here at last & boy am I glad. It's been very busy at work this week & as I do 2 jobs at the same place my 2nd job (helping to set up some new events) at my school, makes my 1st job (reprographics) a lot busier. Reprographics is a posh word for doing all the photocopying. My monthly throughput of copies has risen from 80,000 per month has risen to 96,000 a month so I'm making myself busier!
When my 2nd job was originally advertised it was @ £10 this was reduced to £8, when it was offered to me as it was suggested that other staff members might object. Yesterday I was told that due to 'some confusion' the hourly rate is in fact only £6 per hour, as you can imagine I'm gutted as I have worked my bxxxs of doing the job, which includes designing spread sheets & desktop publishing among other things.
I am not prepared to accept this & I at least want paying at the old rate for the hours I've done, which is 50 hours, as it is I haven't been paid for last month yet & was told it was because I hadn't provided the necessary information, when in fact I've provided it 5 times now & have kept the fax acknowledgements to prove this.I will now have to decide what to do about the new pay cut, obviously I'm worried that if I stay on in the job long enough I will have to pay them for the pleasure of working for them!!
Oh well, rant over, I should have realised it was to good to be true, and I'm one of the people who loses out in the budget, as I earn less then £18k (a lot less) and as I have no dependant children & I'm under 65!
Still things could be worse, I still have my health, my kids & my grandchildren & they are worth more than money.
Hugs to all those that need them

kyle reading from last night, any o/s are welcome to come, but sadly, you will have to pay for yourselves! DLB suggested a disney wedding, and get a ride in cinderella's carriage, not too sure what we intend to do, if possible either on the beach! or near the water/dolphins/whales (if they do them)

    Aww Hester *HUUUG!*

sorry to hear all of your hassle, work problems ring a bit true for me, though in my case it's the hunt for them.

You must have some proof somewhere of what they said? They can't just cut your pay like that.

    B*****ds!

Please tell us you have something in writing or pay slips at original rate. They cannot just cut your pay like that. Do you have union access or CAB?

    Morning all

Not much planned for today. Think I will make a menu plan for the week and might make up some vegemince mix which is usually good as a base for many things... might not though, depends on how I feel!!!

Am all up to date with the washing - 5 loads yesterday and it's just me!!! Had to use TD as weather so grotty.

Going to pop into town later for a few bits and pieces and then spend this afternoon completing a job application for my 2nd job (
I have the job on a 'as and when basis' but a fixed term post has arisen and think I may just go for it!!!

Timer has just gone off... telling me my sausages are now cooked... nice sausage sarnie for breakfast... yum!

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

Morning all! I have no plans for today except the usual looking after 2 kids and slowly going insane :wall: At least I won't be spending any more though.

Harduphester - they can't just cut your pay like that. I started my job a couple of years back on £4.85p/h (pitiful I know) and then it turned out the other staff were on £4.65. The boss just said that there'd been a mistake but she couldn't cut my pay so she had to make up a reason why I was being paid more to tell the other staff. I'd seriously question it!!

    Hi Loraine

Before you send it to dishwasher heaven, why not have a look on the UK Whitegoods Dishwasher forum to see if they can help. If there isn't already a post there, you can ask them for help - the moderators are all service engineers, and have helped me with my DW in the past, and also my WM (on the WM forum).
