Our second is a boy so no doubt once he arrives people will ask 'did you want a girl?', 'will you try for a girl now?', 'what a shame, another boy'!!!
Where in fact it was a boy we dearly wanted so we are over the moon to be having two boys! DH doesnt want anymore just incase they are girls! lolBringing up 2 handsome boys and 1 gorgeous girl the MSE way!Joseph born 19th December 2001Matthew born 8th August 2007Tara born 23rd January 20110 -
It doesn't matter what you have people still ask. I have a boy then a girl, 3 year gap between them, the same Dad and I'm still asked if I intend having any more

We got a girl 18, boy 16 and boy 13. All very much wanted and kind of planned. We have one of each with hair colour...a blond, brunette and a redhead!0

I have 2 wonderful children, a boy 10, and a girl who is nearly 9. i wouldve loved more, but their dad didnt (and then we split up, not because of the children issue tho) but i am more than happy with the ones ive got.
Im also a childminder, and feel that ive got 'lots' of other children via this as well!!!!0 -
I've got 2 wonderful boys who are 8 and 6. I also got asked so many times if I wanted a girl, and my response is usually 'No why would I?' shuts them up. I have a 9 year old neice who calls me Mama now, always called me Mam when she was little as I helped look after her when she was little, if I need a girl I have one I can borrow (but I can only put up with the attitude for so long!!!)
Part of me would like another, but then to me it would mean splitting the little time, money and space I have in 3 instead of 2. Also DS1 hates babies, mainly because of the noise as he's extremely sensitive. He also sleeps very little due to other parts of the disability he has, DS2 has become hardened to this but the thought of putting another child through that and the other behaviours he has I think it'd be selfish of me to have another. DPs never been keen on having any more either, our 2 were not planned, DS1 was born when he was 18 and DS2 when he was 20 and it's been hard work to say the least. He said no more as soon as I was pregnant with DS2, I know if I wanted another he would say ok as he didn't really 'take part' when they were babies (another one who can sleep through anything!!), but would be reluctant I think because of financial concerns more than anything else.
My friends expecting at the minute and have offered to have her little one when she returns to work while the boys are at school, sure that will help put me off
especially when she/he hits toddler stage. One day I might be more organised...........

What an interesting topic. I have just 2 boys, but a friend who has 3 keeps mentioning the advantages of 3, apparently child benefit increases significantly!! I doubt it would pay for another child though.0

We have three kiddies...a 3 year old boy,a 2 year old girl and a 1 year old girl:D
We get quite shocked reactions having such small age gaps and even more stunned faces when we say we want more:p
At the end of the day people can have their opinions on your life and what you choose to do with it but tbh does it really matter? Some raised eyebrows or throwaway comments will never make me feel any different about our lovely little family. The way I see it we give those people without a life something to talk about and brighten up their dreary day:rotfl:New Year~New Start!!
