    Actually I know a lot about computers, I have passed a Computer Systems Degree (First Class with Honors) and am currently studying Software Engineering. Not all of us were spotty, hungover teenagers there cos mummy and daddy told us to get a job I only worked there to get me through college and university - don't assume you know everything about us from one person.

    It's not a training problem like I said I never missold any policy or product. The fact that this one sales person seems to have told enough lies to convince your mum doesn't represent the whole company. It shames me (both when I used to work for PC World and now that I work in another store) to think that there are still people out here that do this. Honestly I don't think I'd be able to sleep if I lied to a customer about anything - I need to shop for things as well, I know I'd be pretty miffed if someone missold something to me - Do unto others and all that....

    update:
    the pc world manager phoned my mom today with a reply from head office.
    Basicly they said that head office are taking over the case, will email rentsmart and try and get my mom some compensation and hopefully get a reply to the pc world manager by monday.
    The manager said he will phone monday afternoon with any update.

    If you have phoned head office already they should have created a case for you. You can ring up customer service and ask them to update you and give them your information as well.

    ok my mom went to see the manager today to see if he had got a reply from head office.
    He has given the laptop free and now have that in writing and head office said to give £120 in cash the scrap value of the laptop.

    I have said to her i dont think she will get more than that.
    the contract is still running and she still has to pay the rest of it as it could not be canceled
