watching a friend die

My friend is coming home on Tuesday (probably)! He can't wait.
His weight is up to 50kg but the feeding tube into his stomach will remain for life but as a silver lining he will never need to buy any food ever again.
Whilst at work today I did receive a call from his daughter. She has been to his flat today to turn the heating on a realised his television is missing and it looks like he has been burgled! All that is missing is the tv (and remote) his expensive music system and cd's have been left untouched and a few drawers have been opened.
It looks like the thieves (had to at least two of them) climbed up the balcony and forced a window. It has to be his wayward Grandson. The police forensics are coming around tomorrow.0 -

I see lots of them in my line of work.
To whom are you referring or are you just a troll?0 -

Check MartinSmythe's other posts, Yorkie1 - he does indeed seem to be some sort of troll - on other boards he has claimed to be an ATOS assessor and has written some appalling things. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -

Good to hear that he's getting home. My great aunt had her feeding tube for over 7 years and thrived with it.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

After coming home my elderly neighbour has discovered a few more items missing besides his television and his camera. There were also some other electrical items missing that I hadn’t noticed.
However it gets worse. His son has maxed his credit cards (over £10k) whilst he was in hospital. My neighbour suspects that his Son is behind the missing items as well, no one ever expected him to come out of hospital, me included, and it looks like his son has helped him self to his inheritance early.
I visited my friend on Thursday and took him a welcome home card and he told me all of this, I felt devastated, speechless and angry, he was a broken man at this news.
On Thursday evening he had a fall at home just as the home help/nurse walked through the door and was taken to hospital with a suspected fractured knee, which has since turned out to be a broken femur.
A blood clot then traveled from the wound to his lung, which resulted in my good friend and neighbour passing away this morning in hospital.
He was so depressed on Thursday I am of the opinion that he fell over deliberately as he didn't want to go on any more. I am glad that I got to chat with him one last time.0 -
