Hi
I have just received back information from Lloyds TSB so am tryingto add up the amount to reclaim but am very confused! I have the list of what I can and can't claim for but its the way the statements are written.
Theyre not the normal statements it reads View statement entries - (account number) as a heading an then there are sheets and sheets of A4 containing in columns date type (in short), description whether a CR or a DR and amount (the ballance column is blank) a sheet number (batch number is blank)
EG:
View statement entries - (my account number)
date Type description CR/DR bal sheet no. batch no.
10/03/2003 Chg O/Draft Interest 42.84DR - 63 -
Do just add up these figures to get my answer as to how much £ they owe me or do I have to do something else?
They also included a few 'real' statements at the back so why didnt they send them all in this format?
Cn anyone help me understand what I am supposed to be doing pleae?
Thanks

If you are confused yourself perhaps you know somewhere I can find out?
Thanks

Ihave just recalled that I also have a loan with Loans Direct, obtained via Lloyds as we went overdrawn many years ago and they refinanced it so we could repay our overdrafts.
Seeing other posts on this board are Lloyds likely to close this account down if I claim? They cant close any current accountds of ours down as they were closed a few years ago by us anyway, hence the loan!
I dont think they could myself as its not effectively them who are providing the loan. But perhaps some of you can advise me on both statement and loan issues.
Thanks

YesI dont have any experience with the loan side of things, but going on what i have read in here. As long as you havent defaulted on your loan they are unlikely to demand it back.
With your statements, you can claim back:
overdraft excess fees
returned/unpaid D/debit fees
returned cheques
There are also some others that i cant remember, but you can find those in the main reclaiming help thread.
So yes you add up all those fees to see what the robbing gits have taken from you.
Hope this helps0 -
I had these kind of statements to go through as well. Actually it's a lot easier than wading through regular bank statements as they only show what the bank have charged you. On mine I included O/DRAFT EXCESS FEE's and UNPAID DD's . But not regular bank charges or interest. Hope that makes sense.0

Just remembered, don't just add them up yourself- put the amounts and dates into the calculator on this site and it will add interest on! and add everything up which is nice. It's in the main Bank charges claiming bit.0

Hi
I have recieved my statements fro Natwest with relative ease. However I am a bit confused on what charges I can reclaim.
Looking over my charges I am owed about £1600 however there seem to be the same charge for £14 at the end of each month for the previous month. As well as this charge there is interest as well.
I am an advantage gold account and was wondering if this is a charge for the privilage !!
Cain I claim these charges back ?0 -
You can't claim the interest for going overdrawn nor the Advantage Gold charges. Check with the bank as to how much those service charges have been over the years you are claiming.0

Hi
With all these messages and advice it can be confusing of what can be claimed and what to avoid. Just like Dreamin, I received my Lloyds TSB charges back today and to say the least they are not straight forward. They are not statements but a computer printable format which just list Dates, Type, Description, CR/DR, Sheet no: For eg
10/09/2001 CHG O/Draft Interest 5.58DR 6
10/09/2001 CHG O/Draft Usage FEE 5.00DR 6
09/04/2002 CHG O/Draft Excess Fee 25.00DR 30
05/06/2002 FEE Account Charge 8.00DR 45
The above has been taken directly off the reams of pages from Lloyds list of charges. Any way, I would love for someone to explain what charges/Fees etc I could claim from above, ie can I claim the O/Draft interest or O/Draft usage Fee, O/Draft Excess Fee?? What is the Account Charge all about??
Anyone able to offer any advice with regard to Lloyds and the way they list their charges and what can and can't be claimed back. Would appreciate the guidance.
FrostyTotal to pay off as of:-
