I buy Tesco Value oven chips. Sometimes the kids want chips and no amount of persuasion will change that to HM potato wedges. I refuse to buy a deep fat frier so it's oven chips or nothing. No big deal tbh. I didn't know they were "naughty" either! I hate chips myself so no temptation for me.

    Me too!

OH doesn't trust me with a deep fat fryer.........

I do make homemade wedges regularly but there are times when only chips will do - and they are so much cheaper than our local chippy!

Oooooh, now I am tempted. I haven't bought them for ages, but I really love the frozen garlic bread from Lidl. Nicest I have ever eaten!!!

There's nowt wrong with oven chips! :)

I like the skinny, American style ones which are way too much of a faff to make from scratch even if I wanted to (which frankly I don't ;)), so oven chips it is. I don't eat them often - once every couple of months, I guess, but of course I desperately want some for dinner now.

I'm not buying chips, I'm not buying chips, I'm not buying chips...

    ;)
Back after a very long break!
