I always have a bag of Oven chips in the freezer, amma bovvered!
Yesterday I bought a bag of frozen sliced onions, bag of sliced mushrooms and a bag of sliced peppers, £1 each and more economical for me as I don't like to do 'cooking' but sometimes fancy bunging something in the SC that requires one or all of the ingredients. If I buy the fresh stuff it usually ends up in the bin cos I've had a case of the CBA's and it's gone off, waste of money in the long run, I may aswell be realistic and buy what suits me :money:0 -
I've started to buy the bags of sliced mushrooms and peppers. Far better value for money than fresh at the mo. The mushrooms are a bit bleugh but ok once they have been well fried or whatever. Peppers are brilliant value.
I hope you realise what you have started OP. I now have to go and buy some frozen chips today !!!!!!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

I'm not about to beg forgiveness, but I am going to send dearest OH to go get chips. If I'm lucky he may also bring some deep fried calamari.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070

I don't often serve chips (would rather do mini roasters or something), but I generally have a pack of McCain's in the freezer for the rare occasion I would cook them. Nothing to be ashamed of imo!0

Sadly I can't buy oven chips.
I bought a very very small compact deep fat fryer from Lakeland, it only holds one large or two small portion so we only have to peel 2 spuds.
I do buy frozen peppers thoughI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Saw some nutritionists on the BBC a while ago who said that oven chips, particularly the best known brand, are actually quite healthy. can we feel virtuous and naughty at the same time?
I buy them, also recently started buying frozen veg as a standby, also Quorn when on special offer. If we have chips etc. fron time to time, less tempted to think about takeaway.0 -
Sorry but I've tried HM oven chips and quite frankly they aren't as nice as McCain Home Fries
Not to mention a massive faff to prepare.
So I buy oven chips and garlic breadna na na na na :rotfl:
