  • I don't have any oven chips (I don't like them), but I have another confession:

I went to a farm shop today and bought the most lush, lovely and wonderful apple juice. Two 1 liter bottles. £2.28 each

I just couldn't help myself. It's so lovely. Luckily this farm shop is 20 miles away, so won't be buying any more for quite some time.

To compensate, I've had a sandwich for lunch that I aquired at work yesterday, so I've had a free lunch :rotfl:
Call me what you like, I was a bit "tiddly" when I chose my username

Much easier to drop into the chipshop/chinese/kebabshop and get one fresh portion instead. No faffing round with the oven, either - and they taste better.

    :)

Not where we live it isn't!
I always keep oven chips in, nothing wrong with a fish fingers and oven chips meal every now and then!

    Hi

I buy Asda crinkle cut oven chips. Def not sinning. Much better than frying chips (I have no deep fat fryer).

I don't see the shame in oven chips at all:p! I had them last night for dinner - a rarity (first time I've had them for years!) and i only had the bag in to feed boyfriend but i actually really enjoyed them!!!

nothing wrong in taking shortcuts sometimes;)

well, if its confession time - forgive me OldStylers for I have sinned! I buy a bag of Aldis Chips every other week - and I DEEP FRY THEM!
It works out so much cheaper than real potatoes and tbh - I LIKE them!

I have never bought oven chips.

Mind you, I don't eat chips very often & never cook them at home, so that might have something to do with it. :p
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I always buy oven chips. It's nothing to be ashamed of. £1 for a kilo sounds like good value to me - after the peeling, chipping, the cost of oil, heating the oil etc it's probably cheaper anyway. Without the worry of a chip pan fire too!
