Emsbet hope you have a good time. The sun is shining here, so hope it's the same there. Thanks for the article on the pumps. I'm thinking to replace the shields with new ones once I can have a fiddle and see which ones are the right size.
Ikkle sorry to ask what what does BD stand for? We sometimes say BU as in bumping uglies lol, I guess I'm more sheltered than I thought
MMM thanks for sharing the link I might just have to check it out. They had a lovely high chair a while back on offer.
Snowy I've been doing the same, buying a pack or two of nappies/wipes each shop. Been banned from any more nappies tho! Also done the same with baby bath, cotton wool etc to try and spread the cost.

Well today I'm going to brave babies r us! I've got my 20% voucher. Hopefully going to get my cotbed, mattress and mattress protector. I might just look at breast shields for my pump too while I'm there. Hoping I won't get wooed by too much cute stuff Also planning to sneak to hobbycraft as its next door and then to Costco as they have a great offer on squash that ends this weekend. They also have a good offer on Huggies wipes and nappies if anyone is a fan, again ending this weekend. Wipes are 3 for 2 and work out 66.5p a pack or £2.66 for four. The nappies are only on size three up and are two boxes for £32 so would be 384 size 3 nappies. So 8.3p a nappy.

Emsbet - hope you have a lovely time.
Sam - enjoy the movie. We want to go and see it, but it came out at just the worst time as the kids are out of school now. We won't get any time to ourselves now until they go back to school in September.

The sun is half out here, but it's starting to cloud over. I'm hoping for good weather so I can start trawling the boot sales every Sunday for baby clothes. We've only managed one car boot this year as it always seems to rain on the wrong day!

Don't buy too much of one brand and size though snowy. I bought lots of huggies wipes and opened a pack the other day and they smell really chemically and gave me a rash so lord knows what they will do to bubs x

Many congrats elj! I figured you had given birth as it'd been more than 2 weeks past your due date. Hope you recover quickly.

Re. breast pumps I got a medela swing off eBay some weeks ago but of course haven't had the chance to test it yet. I plan to replace the shield although want to check the standard size is big enough. Have tried putting over myself fully clothed and seems to cover ok but how do you know if it's big enough – if you're not getting great results do you need one that covers you more?

Trying not to be too worked up about lack of baby but am being a bit of a grump sometimes and unintentionally taking it out on my husband. I'm doing pregnancy yoga which is relaxing but my general state of mind is fairly wound up! In my yoga DVD the instructor says relaxing the jaw is related to relaxing the cervix/uterus; I grind my teeth at night and would clench my jaw a lot when going to sleep even before I was pregnant. Now I find myself inadvertently in the daytime! Maybe I need some gas and air already to relax ... pity the hospital don't give you it in advance! Phew.

Anyway keep your fingers crossed for me and I'll keep mine crossed for you all, especially my fellow boldies! Thanks guys xx

Well landlady inspection day. Very exciting lol. Or not lol. Me ad oh worked really hard last night and I Finishing off today but two days of rushing about has taken its toll on my sexy cankles ad in feeling a little puffy!

Hope by all have good day. It's glorious day here. Pity I have to stay in!!

I've always used huggies, found them better than pampers with dd. We always have a pack in the house. Understand what you mean though, some babies react different. X
